Amazon Australia - Actual Australian Contact Details ?

Hello

Can anyone point me to some legit/current contact details for Amazon Australia… specifically to contact actual Australian staff.
So something like info for the Australian Head Offices - an address where I can send a letter, as well as email, phone number etc.

I'm done trying to get things sorted with the overseas 'support'.
They aren't all bad - but many are appalling.
The real issue is that they seem to have zero contact with the actual Australian staff - who are likely the only ones who can actually make certain decisions.

Please don't post your Amazon gripes here… I just want this to be contact stuff only ok.

if you can link me to where you found the info - that'd be great.
I would really love to find some official Amazon Australia support page with all this info - but of course, it doesn't exist.

Thank you for your help

I think you'll find yourself SOL.

I am NOT attacking you by saying this, just making a point. EVERYBODY thinks that their issue is the important one, the priority one. That there should be a priority line to the right staff for them. But like Syndrome said, if everyone is special, no-one is. Imagine if there was a priority number, then that number would very quickly become the regular number.

Priority numbers would likely exist but not for the public. That's the case with Telstra and Services Australia for example. I can get stuff escalated and resolved extremely quickly through numbers that are not public ;)

I think, its known as b2b contract number. Or if you have good relationship, usually can get a contract of a person in top of the food chain in most companies.

        • -1

Yes. Evidently a lot of people believe a company can only have public numbers and nothing else.

Never heard or read of anything like this. Amazon is famous for shafting the sellers on its platform as well- Amazon is just so big that they don't have to care.

        • You've never heard of a business having phone numbers that aren't available to the general public?

          • @Clear: Amazon specifically. From tech media reports, they are a famous equal opportunity shafter. I'm sure they have different channels for big retailers, but the small sellers are treated like dirt. And the consumers are funnelled into online low-cost support channels. It's hard enough even to find the live chat channels- they are deliberately hidden away.

            • @rumblytangara: I never said Amazon specifically have one. It's possible and I doubt any Amazon employees would know/say.

              • @Clear: I thought it was fairly obvious that I was talking about Amazon. Cause I said "Amazon."

Otherwise, it's more than a little obvious that business usually have different levels of support. Joe Bloggs with his 20/10 internet connection gets a different level of service than Company ABC that has gigabit circuits to five different international locations pinned to specific submarine cables (and pays tens of thousands of USD a month for the privilege). Didn't think this was really worth talking about.

                • @rumblytangara: You did reply to my comment that wasn't talking about Amazon.

                  • -1

@Clear: I cannot believe we are even having this conversation.

Haha who are the dumbarses negging. Telstra have a faults number available to Telstra Business Technology Centres and Enterprise customers. Services Australia (Medicare) have phone numbers for IT support and software partners. Both go past the queues/questionnaires and get you to L2/L3 support.

Who knew that many companies have support numbers not advertised to the general public. If you know them you're set.

I've not said this is the case with Amazon. Neg if I'm right.

    Here's an idea.
Make up a resume. Apply to work for Amazon - get an interview - and THEN actually mention your queries and for bonus points - get the job.

  • +3

    Lol, good luck with that.

The real issue is you keep buying from a company that has minimised all costs as much as possible and are expecting the kind of support that companies offered in the 1960s. Want better support on what you buy? Buy from someone else. Unhappy with the response from the company? Don't email someone who will not call at all, raise a consumer complaint with whichever state body. That's the only way they'll listen to you.

    What is your issue?

I've found Amazon online staff/overseas staff who call me pretty good.. they simply refund me or give me a RMA with free return shipping.

    • +1

      Don't be crazy.
Actual details about their issue clearly would be irrelevant to any advice offered :)

As if sending them a letter about a random order issue is going to get any actual response.

They don't want you to contact them other than through Amazon support phone or chat. This is by design.

It's Amazon's business model not to have an address you can send a letter to, or a phone number to call to speak to an overpaid (by Amazon standards) Australian wage earner.

    Cheap, fast, good.

    Pick two.

Though in the case of Amazon AU, I'd say it's only the second one.

  • Just go straight to the top

    Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd
    Level 37, 2 Park Street
    Sydney NSW 2000

    • Actually Jeff isn’t in the top job anymore, it’s Andy Jassy.

Having said that Jeff could remove Andy if he wanted to.

Whats so special about talking to "Australian staff" compared to their normal supportline?…. im sure they speak england.

  • Try Linkedin, followed by rocketereach. ;)

  • The sooner Australia turns its back on Amazon, the better. Anti-consumer, anti-business, anti-worker, no good for anyone.
