  • Damn, is this any good, im reading good reviews on amazon

  • Does it work with Xbox 360 or maybe cheaper to pick up some old Xbox 360 on the cheap

I love the series controller. Even if i loved this more i wouldn’t give up wireless.

I love the 360 remote as much as the next guy, but if you're just after a corded remote, get JB to match one of these bad boys (so you can make another Perks account and nab $10 off) https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B095JNZGC4?th=1 everyone knows the path to true pro gaming is paved with LED RBG. And it has saveable button profiles and a couple extra mappable buttons on the back, if that's your thing.

Of course if you just want a cheap corded remote, you could match this at JB to make it 20 from 30 https://www.amazon.com.au/PowerA-Enhanced-Wired-Controller-X…

Damn now this is the real bargain

      • We've had a couple cheap preowned corded remotes on the old Xbox One in the kiddo's end of the house for a while now, one started shitting the bed the other week so I says to her, bc she's a bit older and (ideally) more careful, I goes "so would you maybe want me to shove a wireless Xbox controller on the xmas list this year?" and she goes yeah, naturally … Then I made the mistake of showing her that RGB one and she's well into it instead. Had a good Mario Kart session this weekend on the Series X (Dev Mode) with the wireless remotes and she's come back around, but I already picked up one of the RGB'ers the other day for the aforementioned 30 bucks. I don't really get into the extra buttons and stuff on the back myself, but I reckon they'll come in handy for her while emulating other systems, mapping some Wii games in particular can be a pain, extra options is definitely not a bad thing.

'course I also acquired a wireless remote (and got paid $20 credit in the process) from EB for free the other day (long story) so I guess best of both worlds for her this xmas. Anyway, point being, that remote actually looks pretty sick. Still in the box (obviously) but daaaaamn I wanna crack it open, very nice box, looks pretty premium from the outside (though at 80 odd RRP, it should be). Ask me in 4 months for a review lol.

        • I suspect that the quality control on the Xbox One controllers is inferior to the xbox 360. I use my controllers very gently and I have already got an issue with one of my XB1 controllers (stuck button). tried fixing to no avail.

I am still using my OG XBox 360 controllers - 1 of them is probably 15 years old and after 100's hours of gameplay it still works perfectly. Never had any faults with them.

@Windows7forever: To be fair, this is an aftermarket Xbox 360 themed controller, not even the entire same design, it has the new share button and whatnot on it, there's a very slim chance this is as good quality and feel as the OG 360s of the day anyway.

    Is this compatible with submarines?

Love the classic 360 controller design.

  • These guys missed an absolutely golden opportunity to upgrade the horrendous d-pad (literally the only thing wrong with the X360 controller) to the one used on the XB1 controllers.. almost tempted to grab one for Rocket League though
