Panamax $3 for 100 normal price is cheaper than that as you are only get 20 in that pack…

        • +3

Despite the extra cost, the smaller size and capsule shape makes them an easier pill to swallow. Aldi has them slightly cheaper (75 cents?) but none at my local recently so I splurged and got the Coles ones :D

          • @JayParker: I don't understand grown adults having trouble swallowing a tablet, are people's throats that tight? It has to be some anxiety issue surely?

  • +15

I get the panamax 100 pieces when its on special for $0.69. If u want rapid release, just dissolve 2 tablet in water first and then drink it.
It may not taste good. But its rapid release the oz bargain way.

Why would people take brand name drugs?

      • +11

        Placebo effect.

        • Sucker love is heaven sent

        • actually he's right. I used to suffer from chronic migraine no other paracetamol work. after Panadol rapid enters market it works like a charm. another is nurofen liquid capsule, its ibuprofen but its quite effective compare to other generic drug.

        • +2

Not necessarily, different brands may contain the same active ingredient but not have the same effect. This is sometimes due to differences in the manufacturing process, and in this case your pharmacist will recommend you stick with your usual brand.
Some people might not be offered a generic medicine because it contains another, inactive ingredient they should avoid, such as lactose, gluten or a certain preservative.

Have branded and generic ones ready. Give them to ur partner. Next time u need meds, ask her to give u either of medicine without telling you. In a week, you would have gotten rid of your doubts.

        • Have both now but where's my howdy partner

      • Have a read of this, it may help answer your question.

to compare against this deal, its $3 for 80

    • Yep, and also made in India just like Panadol

      • Most probably by the same company.

      • hmmm, are you sure?
I always thought Panadol were one of the few that were not made in India?
Are you able to provide the source of this information?

Just did a quick google search and it says Panadol isn't made in India

      • -1
