      I finally got my cashback:
      03 Sept - Purchase made
      14 Sept - Cashback received

      • Were you notified of the cashback or you noticed it yourself?

    • mine got cashback approved in 7 calendar days.
      14 Sep paid council rate
      21 Sep cashback approved

  • newbie question, would payin council rate count toward 1k spending? cheers

    • Yes.

      • thanks. got my cashback now! me is happy

    • Will probably depend on the T&C. Some credit cards specifically exclude gov payments, like the ANZ rewards one I think.

  • Newbie here,I don't have any existing account with combank and they've approved me for the credit card. How do I receive the cashback and pay off the credit card?

    • I think the cashback is put into your credit card account

      • Correct

  • So BPAY payments don't quality for cashback?

About 10 days to get my cashback.

  • Can I use this card via Paypal and get the cashback? Thanks.

    It's 200 now not 250
    Just fyi

    • It's 200 now not 250

Not if you applied and conditionally approved by 30 Sep.
You are referring to their new campaign (which should be a separate deal).

      • ooo ok

      • Also with the new offer, seems like they're getting smarter with the rewards, it's now spread out so you have to hold the card for at least 4 months to get the entire benefit. Hope the banks don't start doing that with FF points as well eg 100k bonus but spread out over 6-12 months etc.

OVO Energy has been pulling that stunt with their signup rewards as well as their referral rewards.

  • Still waiting for my cashback

    • How many days? I got mine last year similar to the earlier comments here within a week of meeting the minimum spend, but this year I'm 2 weeks and counting.

      • Similar to you, 2 weeks + and still nothing.

        • Had a look at the previous thread for this deal and there were some comments saying they got the cashback after like 20 days so might just have to keep waiting. Especially since the t&c also says within 60 days.

      • Have you received yours yet?

        • Still have not received been 4 weeks since 1st Oct.

          • @manwiththedealzzz: When was your last statement? Got mine 10 days after the last statement. 4 weeks after the spend criteria was met.

            • @rhabdoviridae: Last statement was 3/10. Met the spend criteria on 1/10. Still no cashback. I have previously confirmed that it has been 12 months since I last closed this card before I applied so I should be fine but not sure why cashback is taking so long. I guess I'll need to wait the whole 90 days..

Thanks. I am about 3 weeks in now. New statement issued a few days back and this would have registered the $1000 spend in it. Hoping it comes before the end of the month.

    • Have you received cashback? I contacted Commbank and they advised it would take up to 90 days which was in the t&c but it usually doesn't take that long from past experience.

      • Yes, 4 weeks after meeting the spend. 10 days after the statement with the spend was registered. I rang them too about 3 weeks in and was told the same about the 90 days. Was your spend on 01/10 processing when the statement on 03/10 was released? Or was that already on the statement?

        • It was already in the statement. I did however pay some amount off before the statement but that shouldn't be subtracted from my min spend. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

          • @manwiththedealzzz: Yeah also contacted them and it doesn't seem like there's anything they can do from their end. Couldn't even check from their end if the application actually met all the conditions for the offer lol, just got told to wait the full 90 days even if other people were getting their cashbacks in under a week. Which isn't ideal as I've already ceased my spending on this card as I have other cards to use in the meantime so was hoping to close this one asap and not get hit with the monthly fees.

            • @vawiyoci: I'm also waiting for mine, met the minimum spend req 21/8. I will check again 21/11 :(

              • @MinimalistWallets: Please let me know the outcome, interested as in the same boat as you.

                • @manwiththedealzzz: Got my cashback yesterday, about 80 days after making eligibility criteria.

                  • @MinimalistWallets: I called them up during the week, confirmed I have met criteria and just need to have the card open until I receive cashback. I guess they want to milk the $3 monthly fees as much as they can before giving the cashback.

                    • @manwiththedealzzz: Just seems pretty funny that they seem to have randomly selected a bunch of us to delay the cashback payment, while everyone else still got theirs within a week, especially right before they introduced the new deal conditions last month.

  • How is everyone getting cash back so quickly?
I made my purchases early August (from the previous deal) and called them up, they said i need to wait 90 days for the deal to expire + another 90 days from then… so im looking at Jan
Ive called twice now.. no idea what to do

    • Probably someone in charge finally decided to do something about us churners (hence the recent payout condition changes) and a random selection of us were also used as the early guinea pigs to test spending habit/account retention changes if the cashback payout was 'delayed' to the full 90 days. Oh well at least ANZ's version haven't gotten around to it yet lol.

  • My cashback has now come through exactly 2 months after spend.

    • That's a long time. Some folks were receiving them within 14 days.

If you have already paid your card in full, can you just transfer the $250 cashback into another account without it being considered a cash advance?

    • Same here, glad it was simply delayed and not messed up in their systems or something, though still would have been more ideal to get it within a week like previously and everyone else but oh well. With the new changes not really worth getting again so guess that's the end of that for me.
