$2 Bonus Cashback on $20 Amazon Gift Card @ Cashrewards (Activation Required, 3500 Cap)

Hi again everyone, hope you are all well. This new promo is limited to the first 3500 activations. Once activated, you have until 5pm AEST to complete your purchase, even if activation limit is reached (you can still buy, but you can't activate the offer once the cap is reached). There may be a delay of up to 45 minutes for the $2 bonus to show in your account (please don't worry). You do not receive a tracking email for the $2 bonus.

$2 Bonus Promo Terms - read carefully as it will save a lot of questions:

  1. To be eligible for the $2 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on this page, then purchase an Amazon gift card of $20 denomination (or higher) via the Gift Card Page on Cashrewards (link is on the activation page).
  2. After activation, gift card purchase must be made by 5pm AEST 24/08/2023. Bonus will decline if purchase is made after 5pm AEST.
  3. Activations are capped at 3500. Once activation limit is reached, you can still purchase until 5pm AEST (provided you first activated the bonus).
  4. Bonus is eligible on purchase of an Amazon gift card of $20 denomination (or higher) in a single transaction.
  5. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of the associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  6. Bonus is over and above the advertised cashback rate which still applies to the transaction.
  7. Gift card purchases through the Gift Card Page are available only via desktop or mobile browsers. They are not available via the Cashrewards App.
  8. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  9. Cannot be used in conjunction with Cashrewards Refer-a-Friend or any other promotion that may be active at this time.
  10. Review all terms & conditions of this Digital Gift Card prior to finalising your order. All terms are set by the retailer, not by Cashrewards.   11. Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it as it gives those that genuinely want to buy a gift card more opportunity to do so (bonus will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made). For general tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost.     My CashRewards reward activity says the $2 promotional bonus is pending estimated approval of ~90 days
    "How do I get this bonus?
    To receive this bonus, you need to shop and make a qualifying purchase above the min. purchase value and within the purchase window as specified in the terms of the bonus offer. Once this qualifying purchase is approved, your referral bonus will also be approved."

    So is the "qualifying purchase above the min. purchase value and within the purchase window", an Amazon purchase that I now need to make??

    • The 90-day approval is just a placeholder for this promo. You'll find the gift card cashback and bonus will both be approved within 3-7 days. Others can attest to this :)

    This is not CR issue, but looks like my network issue as I have only one bar on my 5G network.

        So looks like all good, though I am still stuck at payment processing screen.

        I can also see that $20 deducted from Credit card.

          Great! Well you can kill that processing screen now as the funds have been taken from your card. Maybe the internet dropped right when it was processing payment so the old cache remains on your screen :)

    I clicked on the link here in OZB and it says "Sorry, the offer has reached its activation limit and is now expired." with a sad smiley. Just confused as in the past when i have activated, it says i have activated and i can see this in my pending reward.

    So the question is, am I elegible? Not commiting to buy amazon GC until I'm sure what's going on. Thanks very much!

        Just to clarify, I see a pending $2 cashback Cashrewards Promotional Bonus on August 24 today. I guess with this, it means i have already activated the promo isn't it? I have bought heaps of GC from your announcement so not new to this. Just that when i reclick the link form OZB here the screen says "Sorry, the offer has reached its activation limit and is now expired.", but, I'm seeing the reward as pending so a little confused.

        I did defos, for sure, activated this in the morning today but just got busy so closed the browser and reclick from OZB page here thats why. I usually will buy the GC and add to my account immediately after activated.

          Hi again. The reason you're seeing "Sorry, the offer has reached its activation limit and is now expired." is because the activation cap has been exhausted. In the terms, it states you can still buy a gift card up to 5pm AEST. As you're seeing the promo in your My Rewards, you're good to go - it means you've activated it already. Just proceed to buy from the link below and both will be approved within 3-7 days. Hope this clarifies it :)

  • For some reason the same HSBC Visa CC that I used with this promo before, this time didn't work, got error message.

    Your mode of communication is not updated with us. This card cannot currently be used participating online stores. Please contact HSBC customer service on the number on the back of your card for assistance.

    @tightarse can you check with cashreward + anz partnerships for more deals. Look at shopback having deals for its westpac customers! Anz with cashreward is really nothing going on

    • I think ANZ still owns CR, but the exclusive deals are over. Got an email a while back, all ANZ branding was removed too.

  • I'm fairly certain that I activated the deal early this morning. Is there anyway I can tell now if I have done this or not? I just purchased the $20 Amazon Gift Card so hope that I get the $2 cashback.

    Edit: Spoke too soon. I just checked my reward activity and the $2 promotional bonus is showing there. So all good.
