My job title is a console operator as I work at a site that sells fuel.
Happy to answer anything. Pay, details about products, stories, app stuff, POS stuff.
The only things I won’t answer is where I work and things I don’t know the answer to.

Sorry I’m advance, although this might sound entitled, it really irks me.
It’s mine. After I spend 6 non-stop hours unpacking stock, filling shelves, cleaning the store, facing up, and getting no penalty rates, the next employee comes in to be with you for the last 2 hours of your shift all freshly awoken, and ready to watch the sunrise, earning the exact same rate you did during the night.
They then get to serve customers while I put on a fluoro vest and go out to change every bin, wipe down every pump and hard touchable surface, fill up the watering cans and wiper buckets (they’re all full of tap water from the tap next to the pump).
It’s a lovely way to end the day.
tl;dr the person doing the overnight shift goes out when the person covering them for the changeover comes in.
I thought it would be common courtesy for the customer that uses the water to top it up with the tap so close but thank you for your service
Legendary thread! Thanks OP stickyfingers
What would you say is the best part about your job?
Thanks OP. Still keen to see cost price of items
Totally happy to. I just need to know what items you’d like me to check.
Thanks Champ.
I'm interested in cost price of Slurpees, 600ml and 1.25ly cokes, magnum icecream, mars bars, ice, firewood.
Also interested what the perks of the job are? Do you get a staff discount card etc?
Do you know of any employees that have been caught stealing from the business?
Sorry for the delay! I've checked a lot of products. Probably too many.
I'm a bit flat out right now but when I get a day free I'll do up a big table for here :)
Coffee beans? :-)
I did try, but there was no cost price on them.
I can tell you though, that they are manufactured by:
UCC Coffee Australia Limited
52/60 Albert St,
Preston VIC 3072
@stickyfingers: Thanks. It's interesting to see how many familiar brands they supply
As someone who is addicted to Slurpees, I'm also interested to know how many Slurpees you guys sell a day? Do you get unlimited Slurpees? Any other random Slurpee info would also be much appreciated
I'm not sure how many, but I know they mainly only sell when school finishes, at which time they sell like crazy, especially in stores close to schools.
We get unlimited coffee and Slurpees. That's it.
I am yet to stick my head under the tap but I am strongly considering it.
Here is a snippet of a comment I left on another thread with some Slurpee info:
There are only 1 or 2 no sugar flavours a month. The reason there are only 2 no sugar barrels is because we can’t ever put sugar bases syrup in them. If we do for some reason it undergoes a full intensive clean so there is no trace of sugar.
All flavours (every single one except Cola which is branded Coca-Cola) are Fanta branded (made by Coca-Cola anyway.) If the machine is out or order it is either out of syrup and they are too lazy to change it (it takes 3 minutes), they have no syrup left (manager should be on top of ordering it, it comes on nightly deliveries with everything else), the machine has a serious issue in which a technician needs to come out for, or it’s in defrost (for 5 - 10 minutes at most).
There is actually a light up symbol that indicates it ran out of syrup to the right of the defrost symbol on the front. You could also lift the front of the machine up and read what the screen says, although you might get questioned for that lol.
Comment re-opened as per request from OP.
What is the cost price on the 180g sausage rolls?
The rewards freebies and the discounted app offers, how are they handled between the franchisee and corporate (assume corporate reimburses them some amount, cost price only or something extra)?
As far as I know corporate absorb it all.
120g Snack Sausage Rolls - $1.20
180g Spinach & Ricotta Rolls - $1.60
180g Beef, Bacon, and Cheese Sausage Rolls - $1.70
180g Traditional Sausage Roll - $1.64
I’ve slightly adjusted the prices by a few cents just incase my store has unique cost pricing.
Have you ever been hit on by your customer using Apu related lines?
Give me a line and I’ll try it tonight
Have you ever said to your customer "thank you, come again" using Apu accent?
How much does a Slurpee machine cost to buy? The amount of Slurpees I buy it might be worth the investment.
And price of boxes of syrup? How many lots of Slurpees does a box make?
The machines are “Cornelius Viper E 2”
Can’t see syrup prices, sorry!
211 x 250 mL servings in the 5L bags (anything that isn't Cola or Raspberry).
585 x 250 mL servings for Cola and 632 x 250 mL servings for the Raspberry, both in 15L bags.
Who's job is it to fill up the watering cans?
