Best Gas Rates/Discount WA

I'm currently with AGL on a 56% discount plan which is no longer available. I'm moving house and they will not allow me to keep the same plan and are offering me 41% discount instead. I see simply energy are offering 45% discount, which seems to be the best. Just wondering is there anything better out there at the moment that I may not be aware of?

    41% off what rate? 45% off what rate? Check the base price.

      In Perth we all have the same rate and different providers can discount it

        Not quite true, supply charge and many of the network charges are the same but IIRC the base rate per unit is slightly different between providers. When I last calculated it out, some provider with 40% off was approx the same price per unit as another provider with 45% off.

    AGL is still the best in terms of discounts. Don't bother checking with the rest.

    AGL discounts are for usages and daily fees.

      Thanks mate, that’s something I probably didn’t realise, not all providers give a discount on the daily fees.

      Oddly enough, the AGL 56% off that I posted was meant to be for 12 months, it's been way more and my last bill was still 56% off. Hope that doesn't end, gas bills are so low compared to elec and water

        Signed up to this deal, when signed in to AGL it says plan start: 30/09/2022 (even though, like you, signed up before that) so potentially ending 30/09/2023

          Oh I couldn't see where to find the start date but looking at my bills looks like it was around Dec 2021. Just got my latest bill today and it's still 56% off so here hoping this will just last forever 🤞

            @MeesusEff: Can confirm the 56% off ended 30/9, used above link for 42% off but upon switching says 50% off at the top of the plan?? And mentions 42% off below that. Odd.
