Japanese price is around $60aud, and local prices are $100+, so it's pretty good for a set like this delivered.

    • Hi, does this have issues like the first few RG that came out?

      • +1

The only bad things I have heard is just about the complexity of the build, some also praise that though.

        • Thank u

      • This is a variation of the standard RG Unicorn that was released in August 2017. It was the RG kits that were released before that one that had potential "early real grade syndrome" issues. Be careful with the shoulder joints though. Just google "RG Unicorn shoulder" to get an idea.

This kit doesnt use the full pre-moulded injection frame like the early RGs so its pretty darn solid

  • Out of topics…

After my RG wing zero ew experience, it avoid me for any extra RG experience…
Simply it just too small in all parts and I would prefer MG to be honest…

    • Was interested in this kit but the Amazon reviews didn't say good stuff about it. If cheaper I'll try it

      • Yeah I read some review as well…I do enjoy HG and MG but RG…Really need to consider it carefully…

        • What's wrong with RG? Based on my limited understanding, it's MG level of detail in HG scale.

I am still building my first gundam and it's HG and hoping to jump on RG next

@azngamer: Most of the kits released before Unicorn on this list have a poorly designed frame that makes it very floppy and hard to pose/stand up. They are usually awesome looking and fun the build but they are just for single pose and dont touch them. Pick up a cheap RG like Zaku2 or a Strike Freedom and see for yourself.

    • Currently building my first rg after coming from mg and pg, and while the 144 is much trickier and makes me feel like I have gojira fingers, I can't look past the detail they've managed to pack into such a small scale.

Stickers and decals aren't much fun though…

      • Cool! Do you have this particular RG?

        • No, not this one (but I just ordered :)). It's more of a generalised opinion.

      • Are you using a scalpel or small pointed tweezers? I have fairly small hands and without some tools I would have raged for sure. Even with the tools I had to be really patient in alignment of stickers.

        • I'm using a pair of curved flat ones I got from JP years ago and it's been fine for the 1/100 and bigger. However, it's become apparent that it's not good enough for 144 so I'm now on the hunt for better ones.

    • RG hi-nu is plenty big and very few small parts. Def worth the money if it's $60 again!

  • Rg destiny is also up for PO for $41.38 for those interested. Plenty of time to change your mind and/or to catch up on your backlog.

    • RG Destiny is one of those older models with "Early Grade Syndrome", where it becomes loose after a while.

From my understanding, it is better to buy RG models release from RG Unicorn and onwards (or simply RG released after August 2017).

Funny thing is, RG unicorn series (Unicorn, Banshee etc) are too tight and might break if you are too rough with them, but every RG after RG Unicorn so far has been quite good.

    • April 2024 pre order though. thats quite a wait
