Do 3 US Option Trades, Get 1 Trading Vouchers Each Worth US$10-US$100 @ Webull

110

Some more free money!!!

WeBull is running a promotion for existing users. I am unsure if this is targeted, I myself can see it in my account.

Upon doing 3 US option trades, participants will randomly receive a trading voucher (10, 30, 60 or 100 USD). To redeem this, a fellow user wrote a helpful guide: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14131472/redir

WeBull states the promotion is running until further notice, no end date is specified.

In case you don't have an account with WeBull already, here is a link to their current promotion: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/791346

As added by a mod in the other WeBull deal:
Please note that users in the penalty box (due to ghost accounts or some other reason), or inactive users, are not included in the referral pool (the system will exclude them when random is clicked), for Webull or ANY referral system.

Make sure you know what you're doing before jumping into options-trading just to pick up a few free dollars.

    • 100%. I think what me be safest is to buy near worthless pits or calls on some penny stock and just let them expire. Please let me know if you have got any better ideas!

Might be an issue with your deal title - you get 'trading vouchers' (=cashback when you buy stock for at least that amount) rather than 'stock vouchers' as the title says.

Also are you sure you get 3x trading vouchers? The way mine reads it sounds like maybe you get one trading voucher after 3 option trades.

    • Yes, you are right. I changed it. Sorry about that.

Guide for newbies from a newbie.

After you sign up via a referral link, make a trading account by hitting the middle icon at the bottom, it looks either like a microphone or webull symbol, and deposit $300 (easy enough, just need a driver licence/passport and do a selfie) (for the deposit webull doesn't have payID but does have NPP so if you have ubank deposit should be instant as ubank is auto osko for most transfers and doesn't hold your funds if you pay a new person)

Once dep $300 you should get the rewards near instantly. Go to menu right bottom corner then my rewards in the middle left.

Shares are straightforward, wait to receive and sell between US trading hours.

If you get a voucher then you need to buy shares to claim the voucher. Convert enough of your initial $300 aus to us (via webull currency exchange found in transfers in the trading acc asset page) equal to amt of US trading vouchers. Buy a cheap high volume share, eg go market, hit us, scroll down until you see most active traded shares. I went with Mullen automotive as it's $0.1US and has a volume of 170mil. I did 3 trades, 2 trades worth of $20US and 1 trade of $40 US. I claim the respective vouchers ( you must spend at least the amt of the voucher to claim the voucher eg $40 voucher will only claim $10 if the trade was $10, so wait til the order completely fills and buy at least $20 or $40 US of the share).

As soon as I claimed the voucher (go my rewards and hit claim, if you did it right it will show you the trades which you can claim). Once claimed, I sold all the shares I bought to prevent fluctuations and tax implications. I lost $6aud in fluctuations and exchange rate. However I should be getting about $100 US in 7 business days (trading voucher ETA).

Have fun, now you don't have to fumble in the dark like I did. I prefer Moomoo, getting a share is way easier than vouchers, but free money is free money

I did this last month, was a little stressful trying to figure out what the heck I was buying or selling but managed to find some cheap AMC options.
No idea what it meant, lost a few bucks on the transactions but felt like it could have gone worse with the way there was multipliers. Free money voucher arrived soon after but it felt sketchy as…

    • Which one did you get?

      • +1

        AMC US$3 Put 100

Don't ask me what that means lol

Once you buy an option, can you sell it immediately?

      • +4

Yes, I bought and sold within about 30 mins.
I picked something way to low value though, like 1c and when it didn't sell immediately because price changed I had to take a hit and because the value was so tiny, a half cent movement was something like a 50% loss immediately.
Better to buy something around $20 so there is wiggle room on price movements

Folk on Ozbargain trading in derivatives on meme stocks to collect a (potentially) $10 trading voucher, which then requires the purchase of another asset against which the voucher can be rebated, and then the asset to be sold, and then all converted back to AUD for withdrawal.

What a time to be alive. I'm getting my popcorn out for this thread.

US$30 voucher for me… Totally agree with your sentiment, in hindsight I was way out of my depth 😂

The subsequent purchase and sale of the other share and currency exchange was a cakewalk, but the options trading was not enjoyable!

    • Are you underestimating the intelligence of the OzB community?

Ok, what do you get for one shilling and six pence. I'm feeling lucky. I want some of that craptoe currency you young.ins keep talking bout on the internet machine.

    Thanks for posting

    • No worries

Credit to @rsmallri for finding this

  • Also look out for the promo of deposit $10. Leave it til 30th September and get 2 trading credits.

    • Where did you find that? Can't see it in my account

      • +1

Under promotion centre in menu.. It’s known as a welcome back reward so likely targeted to people who aren’t currently active on it. It was on both of my household accounts.

        • Yeah defs targeted. I don’t have it.

        • how long were you inactive for?

          • +1

@rsmallri: Barely at all. All my trades were between 2/8-10/8 and cashed out 11/8.

  • New September Promo on Webull. Deposit any amount and claim up to 5 free shares
