Let's goooooo. better than MooMoo. all couple dollars shares!

    • I agree. 50 USD for a $300 deposit is a lot better

      • +7

I'd take $200 USD any day. Not worth the effort for $50 USD.

        • I got usd 74 from moo moo all up, and was a two week hassle.

          • +2

@Skinnerr: Unlucky. We made about $570 USD between 2 including 2 more referrals.

      • -1

how? you know you get the deposit back. $2000 in, $2000 out the next day and I got $150 USD worth of shares

        • Deal with a $2000 is long gone mate. Got to deposit $5000 for 30 days now. Regardless of length, a simple look at the ROI should answer your question.

          • -3

@[Deactivated]: the investment is the interest lost on $5000 which is like $20, the return is $180

            • -2

@Keplaffintech: Where did you get the 30 days from? There's no mention of it anywhere that I've searched.
You can transfer it out the same day it goes in.

Also the lost interest is in AUD not USD, and your marginal tax rate applies to it. We're talking $1-5 AUD loss.

Finally under the new promo the bonus has increased from 12 to 15 shares, so on average around $250 USD (5 x more than this deal).

                @Viper8:

Where did you get the 30 days from? There's no mention of it anywhere that I've searched.

In the Moomoo T&C it states:

                https://www.moomoo.com/au/support/topic6_428?_ftsdk=16891673…

The gift shares will be automatically allocated to your Account upon usage of draw chances, but initially in a ‘frozen’ status

The allocated gift shares will remain 'frozen' until you have maintained your Daily Average Asset Value (as defined and calculated pursuant to the following section of "Calculating the Daily Average Asset Value") of AUD $500 or more during the subsequent 30 calendar days period from the date of allocation

Additionally, the Weighted Average Value of the gift shares for the $5000 bracket is US$117.25 not US$150. This is also published in T&C. Details matter.

Please don't go advocating a financial deal when you haven't even read the T&C.

                • -1

                  @wavesgreen: That says $500, not $5000.

This is the bit that matters though; they changed the stocks, such that each share is worth on average less than before.

The probability of winning each stock is as follows:

                  TSLA 0.001%

                  AAPL 0.005%

                  GME 9.994%

                  LCID 30%

                  UA 30%

                  AMC 30%

                    That says $500, not $5000.

"$500 or more". Every bracket is covered in the T&C. You need to read all of it.

          • @[Deactivated]: No need to do the $5k. $2k now nets both the refferee and referer around $150 USD each. $5k increases it to ~$250 USD for the referee.

    • hope to get my first referral!

      • Not even one referral so far!!!

    • +5

In my case I scored over AUD 550 worth shares with MooMoo. May not be the case with many though.

      • Same, moomoo was worth the effort

    • How does this keep appearing when it's banned?

      • It's not banned, just the Store Rep.

    • -4

So much better than moomoo, less complicated! Also a better UI on webull 👏

      I got 5x $20 trade vouchers!

Help a sister out with some more (whilst getting some for yourself!) using my referral link pleasee 😁😁😁 It's in the link list under Jessssssss 😁🫶

Agree…better promotion than moomoo and tiger as of now….

Webull's app interface is my favourite of the three online brokers we've seen with recent offers.

    • I have just signed up to this, already done Moomoo. Is there another?

Has anyone ever received anything other than 5 x $10 Tesla shares?

    • I signed up and deposited $300, how did you go about getting the shares? I clicked Get Started from under Menu > Promotions but nothing sort of happened just takes me to my profile

      • In the menu screen do you see an option for “Rewards”? Mine were in there.

      • I didn’t get mine either, money has arrived in account.

    • All I received was Tesla shares.

    • I got 2 x Tesla shares and 3 x $20 trade vouchers

    • Always Tesla shares

    • +1

      I got 4 Tesla and 2 Apple.

    • Received Apple and Amazon From previous promo. Must be lucky :)

    • +1

      Received 5 * $20 trading voucher.

      • I click the "reedem" button next to these, but then i don't know how to redeem from the trading page.
        Any ideas?

        • You need to buy a share worth $20+, then redeem one of the these.

    • Got some non tesla, but it's rare, say <20% of the time

  • Really easy sign up for those unsure, just make sure you use the referral system link

  • I signed up with a random referral link, hopefully someone gets their 5 free shares!

    I got 4x $20 vouchers and 1x $10 TSLA.

    • How do you use the vouchers?

      • Honestly I don’t know. Not a big fan of the UI.

        • My plan is to:

          • Convert AUD to $-25 USD
          • Purchase $20+ USD worth of stock
          • Redeem trading voucher

I will do this for my 4 trading vouchers. By the end I should have 4x 20USD available in wallet? At that point i'll then sell the shares, wait for them to process and convert it all back to AUD and withdraw

          • @Brick50: Keep me posted here, I only joined for the free shares 😂.

            • +2

@vorsprung: That's what I did, exchanged from AUD to USD, bought 160 MULN shares on US market (worth approx 21USD). Then went back to promotions, clicked redeem trading voucher and clicked on the trade I just made

When redeeming trading voucher, it says the $20 will be credited to your cash balance within 7 working days
Once this is in my acct I will sell the shares then wait the few days for them to clear and withdraw all the money

              • +1

@Brick50: I followed this for redeeming the 3 vouchers I got. Worked well! Thanks!

          • @Brick50: Nice thinking!

      • Imo it would be best to buy and sell $20 USD worth of fractional shares in the US market. Go to Tesla, hit "market," and then buy 0.0xy of Tesla shares ($20 worth) and sell immediately to reduce exposure

        • I've tried this buy it's saying Insufficient buying power when I hit confirm to buy.

I set it to 0.076 Tesla share at market price.

          • @beOson: It means you don't have any USD. Use the convert feature to convert some aud to usd. Dont overdo it though as I think there's a bit of fees involved. Maybe convert 25 USD worth and do all your required trades with it

            • @Bladeyyy21: Ahh thank you! So I got 120 USD voucher in total, does that mean I should convert 125 USD worth (from the 300 AUD initially deposited)?

              • +1

@beOson: Im actually not entirely sure. I haven't been able to try it as I haven't had any referrals yet and not a new customer (these stock vouchers are new to Webull). But I'd assume you could make all the trades with the same 25 USD (by buying and selling over and over)? But if you have $40 vouchers I think you need to make $40 trades. Again, im not entirely sure and hopefully someone else could chime in

                • +2

@Bladeyyy21: Yeah you get the lower value. eg If you make a $20 trade with a $40 voucher, you only get $20 credited into your cash balance.

                  • @wavesgreen: Awesome got it working. Four more to go.

So I need to wait till the vouchers have all been credited before I can sell?

                    • +1

@beOson: You shouldn't need to wait. Once redeemed as part of a Trade it is considered final and the value* will be credited to your cash balance within 15 days.

  • anyone get "BSB and account number not found" when trying to deposit from cba? all info is correct

    • Yep got exactly that, transferred fine.

      • thanks :)

  • Can we withdraw the $300 straightaway after we claim rewards?

    • +1

Did you win shares or a trading voucher? If you won a trading voucher you will need to use some of the $300 to buy shares to redeem trading voucher on

  • +1

Last time I used WeBull, they gave my family and I 30 $4 TSLA stocks… Not 1 stock over $4.

  • no stock for me just 5 vouchers

    • Redeem the vouchers over time and you'll get the stock.

      • well i have no intention to keep the stock
after reading other post above, i will buy , claim voucher and sell the stock with the same amount of the voucher
        Thanks

  • How long did it take after deposit for the rewards to be given?

    • Was Instant for me.

    • Waiting for my reward to come through. Money was deposited and then the promo banner disappeared and nothing I can see now for it…

      • Tap on Menu bottom right, then My Rewards centre left under Shortcuts.

That should then display the status of your rewards.

      • Did you eventually receive it? Haven't either

        • Not yet, I asked support and they said to allow 1-2 business days and then send them a message if it still hasn't be awarded.

          • @Ranike: Thanks

            • @rwandrall: Had mine come through recently. 5x$20USD vouchers.

              • @Ranike: Same here. Told me 7 working days to get the funds when I claimed the vouchers, but the vouchers' written t&c's say 15d ugh

  • Just signed up but feeling a bit of regret with all the personal info I uploaded to some unknown entity to verify, not sure how save my data is…

    • Did you need to upload anything?

      • +1

Drivers License and take a selfie

      • +1

With Webull all you need to 'upload' is ID verification such as passport, drivers lic, etc. There's api within the app where you take a selfie and also a pic of your ID. That's it.

        • Uploading a selfie felt strange. Hate it when they make us do that

          • +2

@Bladeyyy21: It's par for the course for lots of KYC ID verification these days. Certainly beats standing in a queue to verify your ID in person like the good old days lol.

        • Yes but is it secure and will it be deleted after verification. Don't want an optus style hack..

          • +1

@whey4000: All share trading platforms follow this process. There are laws around keeping this personal information secure but it comes down to how individual organisations execute this.

Generally they are more diligent due to the laws around organisations providing financial services.

      • Drivers licence and selfie

  • +2

Not worth the effort tbh. Moomoo promo was way better.

    • +6

Tbh this promo is better than the current moomoo promo and im actually willing to tell friends about this one unlike moomoo, where you have to hold the 5k in your account for 30 days. I feel extremely uncomfortable telling people they'd need to do that, so I didn't end up referring anyone.

      • +3

Yeah eff 5K and tying it up for 30 days for maybe a $200 return. The last Webull promo of 1c deposit was god tier. Walked away with $1050 on that one (and still getting referrals from here). That's some tasty ROI.

      • Sorry, I was referring to previous moomoo promo. Got more than AUD600 incl. Referrals.

There is more hassle with Webull.
Upload driver licence both side, photo. Then do currency exchange to buy stock and then apply stock voucher to offset the buy.
Selling the stock and waiting for all the funds to become available and the do currency exchange then withdrawal.

        • +1

Only difference between Moomoo and Webull is the ID verification. Webull is handing out straight shares as well as trade vouchers, Moomoo is handing out shares and vouchers.

Big change now with Moomoo is having to lock up $5000 for 30 days ($4000 technically).

        • Also Webull is showing expected delivery date as 16/08/2023.
Huge time delay both for stock delivery and voucher reimbursement.

          Not good at all.

    • This promo is decent now. Why not do both?

  • +2

One important thing to add may be that the value of the stock purchase should be greater than the voucher when redeeeming it.

If you buy stock for only $10 and redeem a $20 voucher, all you’ll get back is $10.

    • Do you mean total stock value or just a single for $20. Eg does the single stock have to worth over $20 or can you buy $20usd worth of a penny stock?

      • +1

        The latter.
