    7.5W charger, not worth it.

  • Great way to ruin your battery health👍
Of all my friends and family, I was the only one who didn't use wireless charging and my iPhone 14 Pro Max battery health is still on 100%.
    Take that as you will.

Thanks for sharing. Interested to understand this a bit more as i have never used wireless charging. Did your family members consistently leave their phones on a wireless charger whenever it wasn't in use or only when they wanted to charge it overnight?

      • +1

That is a good question because I imagine a lot of people would needlessly charge their phones when it isn't in use simply because it's convenient to do so. The one who consistently charges when it isn't in use has the worst battery health compared to the those who charge overnight (no surprise). Unfortunately, I think Apple will remove the charging port sooner or later.

          Thanks for sharing your observations.

    • I thought all lithium Batteries chemically age and doesn’t matter how you charge them

      • +2

Heat plays a big role with battery life. Does your wireless charger get warm? If it does, it will age the Li-ion battery quicker.

Also don't every full discharge your phone battery. Keep it above 20% if possible

        • +1

          Exactly this.
I also forgot to mention that I always charge as soon as I get the low battery warning (20%) whereas the rest of my friends and family have a strange habit of charging when it goes flat (or close to). Again, these are simply my observations with my sample size and may not be the same for others.
