Anker 735 USB C Charger (GaNPrime 65W) - Black (OOS)

This is the Anker A2668 per the pictures provided on the eBay listing and not the A2667

Credit to @haz for the model comparison

Power-allocation:

  • A2667 (Nano II 65W) has fixed power allocation for their ports. A2668 (GaNPrime) has an Intelligent power-allocation algorithm, that could automatically detect and adjusts the output of connected devices.

Real-Time Protection:

  • A2668 has ActiveShield 2.0 which enhances protection by intelligent monitoring temperature and adjusting power output to safeguard your connected devices. The temperature is measured 35 times per second. According to the calculation of 8 hours of sleep at night, the temperature is measured more than 1 million times at night, which means 3 million times of monitoring throughout the day.

Design:

  • A2668 is the industry's first to add two gallium nitrides inside, A2667 has a different chip and design but also has gallium nitrides inside.

In depth review of Anker 735 from AllThingsOnePlace https://youtu.be/es-EXwPbaFk

    • +3

Aus doesn't get the better reviewed/specced products. I guess a lot of companies know that they can dump stuff here and people will still buy them

      • They also don't want extra cost of creating a new SKU for AU Plug.

We're missing the majority of Anker Power Point Chargers.

      • +2

Yeah, it's annoying to see OzB fill up with randomly-branded Aliexpress stuff, and Belkin seems to be regarded as top of the line here.

    • "new level of suck" is how this guy describes the 65W adaptor (the 120W and 150W versions are much better by his numbers).

  • +1

    Thanks ,

  • Not sure if i would buy a 65w these days

    • why?

      • Better to future proof a bit , for slightly more you can get 120w chargers

        • +3

Slightly more for an Anker 120W charger? Any links?

          • @bio: I'm going to assume Zyron or Heymix for that price.

            • @RichardL: You still can't buy a Heymix 120W for slightly more than a Heymix 65W. Apples to apples.

          • @bio: Nope not anker , dont think anker does higher with an AU plug we get a bit shafted by them. I just wouldn't buy 65w

            • @Sandwichface: You can get a Belkin BoostCharge Pro 108W (96W max) for under $100. Still not "slightly more", but better QA than Heymix etc.

              • +1

@bio: If I recall correctly, the Belkin doesn't do PPS (which is needed for 'Super Fast Charging' Samsung Devices).

Also a few cases of Coil Whine.

                • @RichardL: Get Ugreen 100W which does PPS. Currently out of stock in Amazon but regularly can be had for $79.99.

                  • @tukanglistrik: Was looking at it last night. Another plus is that it uses a standard figure-8 cable (C7).

There's also the Ugreen 200W charger that uses a standard mickey mouse cable (C5).

                    • @RichardL: The 200W is not readily available in AU. I just bought one from overseas, it's awesome…and heavy! Definitely not for travelling but is very useful for home office setup as it can charge 3 laptops/tablets at the same time, while still having another 3 ports to charge phones/headsets/watch etc.

              • @bio: Yeah desktop like chargers seem to be the way to go if you want anything decent, i used to use a blitzwolf 75w charger but have since moved on to the Belkin 3 in 1 charger and ISDT power x, but the price is steep

        • what? to charge your EV with?

          • @StuBalls: Laptop or anything else that can fast charge with high wattage

            • @Sandwichface: What about EPR, PPS? Future-proofing with chargers is hard.

              • @ihfree: Yeah future proofing is tough , but i still wouldn't buy a 65w when this is also sold in 120w overseas

old news, was fixed long ago. To be honest for a consumer like myself, I didn't care less and I had a set of the 2c pros I used for watching a garage. The device otherwise was brilliant. Mind you reviews of this item seem poor.

  • How does the Anker 735 65W compare with Belkin Boost Charge Pro 65W posted recently?

    • +1

Both similar, with the Anker having an extra USB-A Port.

This Anker Prime also does automatic power-allocation, so won't disconnect and reconnect your device when you plug in a 2nd/3rd device.

      • This one has 2 GaN 's

      • Thanks for your reply

Oppo X5 shows $349 for me.

    • +1

      Add the code.

      • +1

        Of course….how silly of me

  • I got one of these on the amazon prime sales recently but I can't see how much I paid for it. I don't love to support Anker but I couldn't find anyone else making decent quality equivalents, heck even Anker took so long to bring this out to Aus.

    • If it was during Prime Day this year it would’ve been $69.99

    • What’s wrong with Anker?

  • +1

I don't need it but I wana buy it … What should be done ?

    • +3

      Buy it mate

  • Will Harvey Norman or jb price match?

    • +1

No, they never match any items with a promo code applied

  • The Oppo Find X5 Lite 5G, does anyone know,

    1. Can it be upgraded to dual SIM by just changing the SIM carrier?
    2. Process to upgrade to Android 13? (On Boost SIM, says 11 is up to date)

    Cheers

  • How is the Oppo phone? does it have NFC?

    • It does

  • +1

Anyone got any opinions on if this phone is better than the TCL deal?

  • there are some new oppo x5 lite on ebay auction too start from 350
