It's a shame they switched from an exclusion list to an inclusion list. I miss buying obscure $10 games and trading three of them in for a new release :(

Ah, the good old days of trade bait.

lol trade in sleeping dogs and darksider 2 to get sleeping dogs again!

    • +1

      That's a good deal……for them!

Oh, for the good old days when there was an exclusions list and with a bit of research you could find some obscure cheap games to trade.

    • It's not a bad game, so why not? :P

I think this is an ok deal for anyone (like me) with an old copy of Skyrim… particularly for PS3 owners of the game, where DLC might not be ever released for the system (this might further decrease the value of the game).

      What are you talking about?
Did you read the INCLUSION list, Skyrim is not a game you can trade in.
This deal is just horrific. Trade in 2 new games to get one new game.

You would have to be a crack smoking whore to find this deal remotely plausible.
Even then, you are better of trading in two of your new games for crack than one of the same game.

Umm it shows Elder Scrolls V Skyrim on the PS3 list

Regardless, Deal is still no deal

        • +2

oooooooooooooo yeah, I am an idiot, forgot its full name, I was looking for simply Skyrim.
My apologies Steve, but my comments re deal and crack still stands.

I still read that full title as Elder Scrolls "VS" Skyrim, I am doubly a fool.

        • I think if you own a couple of the older games on that list, i.e. Skyrim, Sniper Elite, which you can buy for around $42 new… and if you own a second hand copy from back in December last year, I hardly think it's worth a fortune. If you are prepared to pay $70-90 for a new release game, then 2 second-hand games (if they are no longer of any playable worth to you) are at least of equivalent value to a brand new release.

        • I'd take that copy of Skyrim off your hands :)

        • +3

if you still pay $70-90 for a new release then you're pay too much.

        • you can get sleeping dogs for $40 easily if oyu look around

  • +2

wow this is a bad deal

  • somehow EBGames is getting better than JB on games now…they have better deals, trade offers, member incentives. wouldn't worry about the price though since you can pricematch it with JB.

  • +2

Sell your games on eBay, buy the new game from the UK, and make a profit.

  • Rip off. Games allowed to be traded are limited and are new release games. So you have to buy two new release games and give them back for one.

  • Not a good deal sorry. You would make more money selling the trade-ins then buying the new game

  • Bad, bad deal JB…Just buy the games you want straight from Zavvi, The Hut, Oz Game Shop or any of the other numerous online retailers who leave bricks'n'mortar retailers in the dust re:pricing.

  • +2

This is like giving $2 away in order to get $1 back.

    • Have to agree.

      Awful deal. Simply awful.
