Thanks for the heads up OP!

I just recently played this again in VR and it was an absolute blast.

    • On what platform did you play it in VR?

Quest 2, there's plenty of tutorials to get it up and running.

I've played old-school favourites like Doom 1 - 3, Heretic, Half Life, Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It's just like you remember them, but 200% better.

        • Nice, I envy you. I've almost done something close enough with a VR headset, Quake on my phone and a bluetooth controller. But the controls were a bit clunky and there was no head tracking. One day. Im a massive Quake fan (loved Q1 and Q2), and also really enjoyed Heretic as well.

  • "and the ability to play on the go."

    What an outstanding achievement.

Make it small in size and it could also be portable.

What percentage of the switch's games require you to sit at home?

The expansion packs on the original game would be well worth it.

  • This should be regaular price since it is an old game.

    • $5 is too high? What is the regular price for an old game?

  • Looks cool, just watched a video of it.

Anyone know if there is a way to make the game slower? Just that I get motion sickness from fast moving fps games so adjusting the sensitivity would help. The turning left right is fast on the video I watched

    • If you use Gyro controls you can tune the sensitivity.

      • So that’s the only way? So if I use normal I can’t?

        • I don't know, sorry.

        • Looks like you can lots of settings.

          There’s settings for Aim X (1 to 20, default is 6), Aim Y (1 to 20, default is 3), Aim Accel (0 to 50, default is 15), Accel Exponent (1.0 to 4.0, default is 2.0), Aim Smoothing.

There’s also settings got deadzones, Aim Assist and Motion Sensor.

By default “always run” is turned on in options. It’s silly. Turn it off and the games much better

      • Thanks for your answer and time

As an aside, John Romero just released his auto biography. Part way into it now and it’s pretty good so far.

Listening to it in audible, which John narrates himself.

Really good fun in split screen co-op. Also rumour has it that they're set to unveil Quake II remastered at Quakecon soon, but we'll see.
