Also Rhino 7mm x 215mm Heavy Duty Tent Peg - 50 Pack for $9. Down from $40.
These 7mm pegs are a no brainer for replacing the crap pegs you get with most tents and gazebos we have all got.

        What where they before that?

Dunno, but $1 is the normal price now at Bunnings.

  • The sand pegs are no longer on the website

    yes they are.

    • I searched for sand pegs and got nothing. Who calls them plastic ground stakes?

  • got a 50 pack, thanks mate.

I thought you were cutting down ?

Make me chuckle out loud 😂

        Pegging can be highly addictive

          I peg to differ

The cool kids take a drill and use screw-in ones for not much more/peg https://www.bunnings.com.au/jack-screw-in-tent-pegs-15-pack_…

I have to get off ozb… I keep seeing shit I've never needed in my life but all of a sudden want

      • +3

If you do consider the ones I've linked to, bear in mind the case is beyond shit. Like utterly useless. Falls apart as soon as you touch it. You'll need some sort of strap to keep it together. Or just throw the pegs in the bag with the drill.

    • +1

Absolutely useless in sand. You'll be chasing your tent down the beach at the first puff of a breeze

      • Unless you pitch them properly

@goodwillN1: Nah, am too busy chasing my tent down the beach

      • What a useless comment, of course you would use sand pegs for sand…

  • why are pegs something i keep buying more of than i need? crazy

  • Are the rhino pegs good enough for beach sand?

    • +1

They are very similar to regular tent pegs for a medium size tent, and I've tried them but they aren't great for sand.

    • +2

No. You want the $1 orange ones for sand.

  • You want good pegs, use coach bolts with washer on em, and a cordless drill…
I through 12 pegs in Flinders with the camper, mate went through 0 coach bolts

    • For those looking for screws for pegs the 300mm landscape screw is the perfect solution, about $4 each. Get a them from Bunnings

  • Rhino pegs are raw steel, rust will be immediate. Otherwise would've been a no brainier.

    • +2

It doesn't say it on the pack, but they're galvanised according to the Rhino website -
      https://rhinoboxes.com.au/collections/galvanised-tent-pegs/p…

Edit - Couple of the reviews on the bunnos website don't look great though.

    • I've used some metal ones and if packed away dry they are fine.
I've got plenty of rusty ones that have not been put away and once wet they will rust up and stay rusty till cleaned up.

  • Just bought a bunch of these, thanks OP.
They're great for pegging down the christmas inflatable display.

  • would these be good for sand pegs?

    • The orange ones are perfect for sand.

  • +3

Useless against vampires. Go wood or go to hell.

  • What's so special about these pegs??

    • They're only a dollar

      • Surely the grey metal pegs are less than a buck?

        • oh no, unless you get the tiniest thin crappy ones, you're looking at least $2-3 for a decent solid one

    • Most tents and gazebos come with weak metal pegs that are rubbish in sand.
If you camp on beaches the orange plastic ones are great but usually $4 to $6 each so expensive. This is a good buy.
If you want to upgrade your normal tent pegs cause you have lost some or bent them as they are usually thin then the rhino pack is good value

  • was wondering why the bunnings site has been down all arvo. this explains it..

Supapegs are the only way to go, I’ve had mine for 5 years, haven’t bent a single one. Bout $1.50

    https://www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/supa-peg-300x8mm-galv-…

    • Agreed. They are great.

Also, the hooked top means the rope doesn't slip off if the peg turns.

Thank you for that. I've actually been looking for some more and couldn't find them in the normal stores

  • Thanks OP, didn't need them but grabbed 3 packs of 50. BCF are an absolute rip for everything…

  • Thanks OP. Bought a pack of 50 and a couple of the 28cm for good measure. 😁

  • Good to see the large are the same price as the small. More bang/peg for your buck.

  • thanks, but the total Weight 3.2kg for the 41cm peg, is that normal?

    • That's probably a box of pegs weight.

  • Anyone else getting Page not found?
