Selected iTunes Movies for $7.99. Limited Time Sale

30

Buy selected movies in iTunes for $7.99 ($9.99 for HD).

Seems to be a good deal for the movies like:

  • The Departed
  • Unknown
  • Once Upon a Time in America
  • The Shawshank Redemption

and others.

It is a limited time sale.

P.S. Since July purchased movies in the australian iTunes are stored "in the iCloud", so you can re-download them at any time.

  • Will I be able to bequeath these to my kids when I die?

    • User Agreement says no.

    • set up a trust and have the trust purchase them.

Only, SOME titles. Not all studios are on board with movies in the cloud. Double check item details before purchasing.

    • I am pretty sure that the majority of these movies will be stored in the cloud. However, if you purchase any movie in iTunes and it will be not stored there, you can claim a refund straight away, because this page says nothing about "some titles":

for those Android user you can rest assured that movies on "googlePlay" are much cheaper.

clearly this is not aimed at android users….

      Lets see, Google Play Store:

      The Departed - not available
      Unknown - not available
Once Upon a Time in America - not available
The Shawshank Redemption - not available

That's awesome, yup much cheaper because you can't buy/rent them.

  • If I had more confidence in the format and could wrest myself away from physical discs, I'd be in! Good find for what it is though.

  • Would happily buy them but until I can play it on something other than an AppleTV I'm avoiding iTunes… I have a PS3 and Xbox 360. I don't need another device that can stream just because it plays Apple's DRMed videos.
