Hi all,
Not the lowest but a decent price from Austpost
Hi all,
Not the lowest but a decent price from Austpost
http://catalogue.auspost.com.au/portal/offerdetails/seagate_…
$109 at DSE for USB2.0 model - http://dicksmith.com.au/product/XH9888/seagate-expansion-2tb… and $139 for the USB3.0.
Aust Post don't say which theirs is.
This really isn't a bargain of any sort, can be had elsewhere cheaper, MSY are $119 for the USB3.0 model for example.

MSY…
I'd rather paying more elsewhere and get a proper customer service than having to deal with the incompetent MSY mobs!
Bait taken.
What service do you want. Walk up ask for drive. Yes it is in stock buy it walk out.
Not in stock, should have called or used website for pick up option.
They take your money and give you drive. What more service you want? A happy ending or something!?
Just what sort of competence do you need to buy a HDD? You walk in, ask for a Seagate 2TB USB3 HDD, pay, walk out.
That's great to hear, one less person in the line to wait behind. Thanks for letting us know.
What more service you want?
You don't know what good service is? Obviously you didn't grow up during the good old days in Oz! LOL … Not long ago, customers go to where good service is provided - not CHEAP prices.
in the line to wait
Since when do consumers in Oz have to wait in line for lousy services? Oh, I forgot that there are people who think their dignity ain't worth 1 bob! It's good to know that I will not run into you wherever I do my shopping! Thanks… :-)
Hi Moots, its on the latest catalog. For some reason I am unable to link the online catalog to the title but here is the link

$127 from Officeworks for USB3.0 model
http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Dat…
No suprise they beat it by a couple of $'s
be careful with this drive, reliablility review arent so great.
Can back this up first hand.
Mine broke after just 2 months. Send it off the Seagate yester for Repair but doubt I will get a responds soon.
And I bought the USB3 model for $99 at JB 2 months ago so bad deal.
Thats because they can get up to 63C under load.
They have no ventilation.
Also cheaper elsewhere for example http://umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=131…
If it's not the lowest, how is this a bargain?
A good question, I've given up reporting non-bargains as there appears to be no point in doing so any more.
If it's not a bargain, then negative vote it. That's the reason it's there for.
We're going to need far more than 5 negs a day to downvote all the disguised advertising and non bargain tripe that appears here these days.
How do we neg vote a "Mod" when they are not doing their jobs properly?
Sorry, you don't feel I'm doing my job properly. This is a community website where the community decides if it is a bargain or not and not by an editorial staff (e.g. dealnews.com).
If you have an issue that you wish to discuss solely with moderators, you can do so on the Talk with a Moderator forum or in Site feedback.
ozblocd: A listing that isn't a deal for some people isn't something the mods should be removing. If you think it's not a deal, neg it. If it receives enough negs, it won't show up. As neil says, it's a community driven website, which means it's actually YOUR job. Fortunately, I am able to neg you for not doing your job properly.
In theory it could be a bargain for people who have AusPost but no other stores near them that have it cheaper. Seems unlikely though…
No deal, cheaper at Umart, MSY, Officeworks to name a few…
Wait for another $99 deal at DSE/OW.
OP said it best with "Not the lowest but a decent price from Austpost".
Not the lowest = neg vote.
This is OzBargain, not OzDecent.
Cheaper everywhere else, see static ice. Plus Aus Post has longer queues than MSY. Might be a deal for someone with no dignity and is willing to spend half their life waiting in a Post Office though.
