Youfoodz: $40 Cashback with $60 Minimum Spend @ Zip

110

Original 50% off First Order Deal post

First time posting. Was surprised no one had already posted. Maybe because Youfoodz isn't any good? We shall see, arrived this morning

$40 Zip cash back min spend $60.

Saw this deal browsing Zip and as usual no terms and conditions. Figured I'd give it a go and capitalise on Zip referral to bring it to a total of $50 cashback. Took a few days and emails to zip to get it confirmed but then alas they cottoned on and spotted their error. Added min spend $60 now. But deal still works, just can't game it.

Need to apply for and download Zip, (get a referral and earn $10 for both parties) then, Per Zip:

Earn $40 Cashback
Usually $15

How to earn & redeem cashback

Click the "Shop now" button below

Shop as usual (and stay within the app during your purchase)

Tap “Pay with Zip” and checkout with a single-use card

Redeem cashback when you reach your Reward goal

Promotion terms and conditions:
Click this promotion tile and transact online at Youfoodz using Zip’s single-use card at checkout to earn $40 cashback per eligible transaction. Redeemable when you reach the Rewards goal. Promotion ends on 30/07/2023 11:59 pm AEST. Reward Program T&Cs apply.

Cashback valid with $60 minimum spend

Doesn't state anything about coupon codes so apply 2023YOU per previous long running deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/760819

Other coupon codes come up automatically on the Youfoodz website too but aren't as good. Cancel after first delivery.

Payment is only taken by youfoodz after cut off date (to allow for changes? etc). Tuesday cut off for Saturday delivery etc. See youfoodz website. Therefore the transaction won't appear in Zip untill after Youfoodz processes transaction. The rewards aren't given out till transaction changes from pending to confirmed and this takes a few days again as per standard credit card purchases.

Technically you can get it down to
$66.43-$40-$10 = $16.43 for 14 meal box = $1.17 per meal

Not sure if it works for existing youfoodz members, Zip doesn't disallow it but since existing members don't get the massive discount codes you're probably better off with a new account.

  • Redeem cashback when you reach your Reward goal
    what is the goal ?

    • Zip usually give cashback in increments of $20. It's their usual jargon.

My cashback was applied to my balance directly for some reason, as opposed to sitting in my Rewards balance where you then manually redeem

  • a few days and emails to zip to get it confirmed bu
so we need to do that as well? the process are not automated like normal cashback shopback etc but we need to complain to get them?

    • No I did that to make sure I got it before posting and referring friends. You don't want to be that guy who screws your friends over.

It should be automated but the way youfoodz takes money complicated things this time. Also there were basically no T&C when I did it, and it seemed odd. Wasn't going to be sure my coupon code wouldn't invalidate the cashback. They since updated the T&C so you can't purchase $30 worth and get $40 cashback etc. I'd say Zip is pretty well know around here for setting up deals that screws themselves over and gets themselves ozbargained. But they still havent said anything about coupon codes so itsfair game. Be careful they don't update it again in the next day or 2

For what it's worth you could also just set up a youfoodz account and refer your friends, but I'm fairly certain you can't stack with the massive discounts that way.

  • Technically you can get it down to
    $66.43-$40-$10 = $16.43 for 14 meal box

14 boxes? but that thread of 2023YOU says pick 18 boxes?

    • Yeah mate different angle in that deal. Without any cashback, getting the largest box is obviously the best bang for buck. Just gotta do the math

  • Does Zip do a credit check?

    • Yes. Best to check posts about zip, lots of people have talked about it already. It's only $500 to $1000 though or less, but how that affects you, you'd be best to talk to someone more financially savvy

  • +4

Promotion ends in over a day, however your zip won't get charged until your box ships, so will it even work?

    • Well you don't get charged till the order is confirmed which depends on which state you live in. So you have 1 day. I would have posted earlier but nothing was for certain.

      • great find can i confirm its until order is confirmed or order is delivered? how long does it take them to confirm orders?

        • +1

Zip transaction shows up when order confirmed. Which would be as per above cut off taken from Youfoodz website. Zip CS rep states rewards given once payment processed which took a few days to process much like most credit cards.

Someone below posted about not delivering outside metro area. No idea but be warned whatever that means

    • Would be a great price if it works. Also concerned about the fact that the actual date Zip will get charged has passed the promo deadline.

  • Works only in metro areas. No. Chance to get this in post code 5700 in SA.

  • Has anyone tried Youfoodz? Are they any good?

    • Full price maybe nothing special if you are big guy maybe not enough but at this price even $3 a box it is super bargain at least healthier than instant noodles

  • Anyone else going to give this a try? Do you think we will make it in time if order tonight?

    • Don't see why we can't. Even though we won't be charged straight away, but still can receive order confirmation once ordered so that is proof in case needs to dispute with Zip.

  • @VeeKTOR what do you mean "Zip doesn't disallow it" ? What does that refer to?

    • T&C

  • I'm trying to follow the instructions but at the payment section I only have Credit or Debit Card and PayPal? Where is the option to Pay with Zip?

    • +1

If you are in the zip app just tap the pay with zip button. It'll pre-fill details with your once use zip card as required

    • +1

Has to be within the app and you will see pay with Zip at the very bottom of the screen.

  • If I am in QLD and my first order arrives Monday 7th Aug will be card be charged tonight? I don't think I can go back and change it to an earlier day now?

    • You should be able to change it. Cut off hasn't passed afaik. Personally I would cancel it otherwise. Then again $5ish ain't terrible for a quick lunch

      • Ok so I managed to go back in and change it to Saturday 5th Aug. That’s the earliest I could change it to… am I good now?

  • This is confusing… doesn't match to what is in the original post does it?

    • Honestly mate I'm as confused as you are now. In the common questions section under the initial order set up page those times are different.

      • Going to bed now and will contact chat tomorrow since they are offline and they don’t accept emails any more

        • So Per T&C

          1. SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES

6.1 When you place an Order for a subscription Product you enter into an agreement to receive the Product on an ongoing basis. You will be charged for your initial order between completing the first order, and the first relevant Order Cut-Off time. Cut-Off times are explained in detail under clause 7, Subscription Management. The completion of an initial order prior to the relevant weekly Order Cut-Off Time constitutes authorisation for this payment at any time up to the Cut-Off Time.

Tbh sounds like a bit of a gamble whether you'll get the cashback.

Also in terms of order confirmation i never received one, not sure they send them. Order history shows the order with delivery date too not the date I actually ordered.

Maybe just wait a day and if no transaction recorded request the cancellation.

Sorry this stuffed you around. Those times were in the FAQ, wouldn't have expected Youfoodz to not update that

  • Chat confirmed payment will only be taken on Wednesday night for Saturday delivery, so ended up cancelling.

They have conflicting information on delivery times and cut off dates on their website, and even in my account it was showing Friday delivery in some places and Saturday delivery in others.

Chat confirmed no way to manually process a payment now and it is all automated.

    • Thanks for confirming.

Lets wait for another good deal like this, i really need cheap lunches (currently wfh)

      • +1

Actually zip still have a standard $15 off. If you're a new zip member you still get your initial $10 referral bonus. Can still apply the 50% off. Works out to be around $3? Not terrible..

      • So Shopback are doing a $50 cashback now. Looks like you can only stack one promo code but might still be able to use Afterpay/Zip for any referrals if you never signed up last time. Don't ask me details, best to read T&C yourself.

  • Thanks for the deal anyway, me and my wife both bought the deal on 29/07 use our Zip accounts, and as expected, the payment didn't come out until next Tuesday and nothing has been tracked, lodged a complaint and received $40 in both of our Zip accounts today.

    • Today was the cashback day.
      Received my $40 without issue.

    • Lodged the complaint with Zip?

  • Received $40 Cashback today👍

    Ordered 30/07, Charged 3/8, Delivered 5/8
Skipped next deliveries waiting for Cashback. Account now deactivated.

Bought 12 x high protein meals for $66 after 50% off code.
Slowly eating them - half stored in freezer.
Great value! 12 larger meals for $26!

    • So you didn't even need to contact Zip to manually credit it?

      • No. Very easy!
Cashback takes time when a subscription is involved… for Youfoodz to notify Zip to credit me.
