      I read somewhere it's a countdown to another pre-alpha/incomplete/developers/somethinglikethat release. Nothing verified or anything, no idea if that's the case, but it's what I read.

      EDIT Good news, it's a release complete up to the final alien levels. Sweet.

        While I had the same reaction they've posted in their forums that the countdown on their site of ~9 days is for a release a version complete up to the Lambda Core, which is everything up to the alien planet stuff at the end.

        Complete? No. Playable most of the way through? Yes.
