Wasn't there an active offer for GC that works woth jbhifi? To make this deal even better

  • What do ppl use these for, aside from commercial use and fun? And are there restrictions in suburban parks for flying these?

Always kinda wanted one, could never justify it

Great for photographers wanting to try out aerial landscapes.

Look at your phone, check out how many photos you take and think about how often you take photos. That'll help justify if it's worth buying.

I trialed one last year for a couple of weeks, a Mini 2 pro. They are really good and in the time I used it it was quite fun and I took some good shots + videos which I still look at to this day. But I know I never take photos so It'll end up in storage along with my other stuff, I'll take it out 2-3 times a year and then eventually I'll forget about it.

      • surprise to find out DJI release a new mini 2 "pro" from y our statement above.

i guess it should be either mini 2, or mini 3 pro

        • Oops! Must be a mini 2 then. I'm not really in the market for them so I am unfamiliar with the SKU's they got.

For restrictions, check the resources CASA recommends.

      I like using Opensky: https://opensky.wing.com/visitor/map?

      • wow most of Sydney is a drone-free zone. And yet I see people flying them at parks all the time, some are obviously very expensive and technically capable.

    • Not everyone lives in a major city lil bro

      • so how do ppl outside major cities use theirs?

    • I’ve used mine heaps more recently as we build our home, great to get aerial shots and fly overs of the process.

The problem with Amazon JP, you won’t be able to get the AU DJI Refresh

      • Do you mean the accidental insurance cover? I bought my DJI FPV from Japan and got not issue buying the insurance. (Nov 2022) Not sure if that has been changed/

        • That's what they said in other forums, that you can't get the DJI Refresh if the drone is from other countries

    • Does JB HiFi price match with Amazon?

      • +1

Yup, as long as sold and ship from Amazon AU

  • Starting to be a pretty good price.

I know it's way more money, but it really is worth getting the controller with the screen. It takes the hassle out of connecting your phone to act as a screen (and you REALLY need to do that). With the screen controller, you just turn on the drone and controller and off you go, it's that easy.

Only problem is you cannot use 3rd party apps with the RC.

You might not currently use 3rd party apps but there are some fantastic ones out there for creating automated flight paths etc.

      • Can't you side load the apps?

        • Please share the tutorial how to do it.

Are you referring to the RC or the RC PRO.

          PRO you can.

          • @Sirocco: Oh I've got the old RC remote for the DJI Mavic Pro.

    • 100% i Have this drone with the controller without the screen. Don't even use it because its so annoying to attach to the phone. Rather have a build in screen anyday.

  • Do you think the DJI Mini 3 Pro with RC controller will go on sale soon?

I literally just bought the 3 pro via JB Business a few hours ago for $1182

    • The lowest that I managed to get from JB sales was $1254 including the Flymore kit ($1045 for the drone)

Anyone seen any good deals/prices on the DJI Mini 3 Pro model? I was keen to pull the trigger on this model, but I think it’s worth it for the features of the pro

  • what's retail on this?

    • $749

      • hmmm, not much of a deal.

i was comparing with the mini 3 pro thinking it would only be slightly better. i was very wrong, it is so much better. i was going to buy this, but im going to hold off for another deal on the mini 3 pro with the controller with the screen. i think right now it is 1298.
