Errr very common in Melbourne, for hydronic heating.

Very common? I'd highly doubt that. I've lived in Melbourne my whole life. 12 different houses. Some built in 70s, 80, 90s and two brand new. Probably visited over 300 houses of friends/family/work colleagues/parties/open for inspections etc. None have had hydronic heating.

I live in Ballarat and it is very common here. Approx 3 out of 5 houses I've been in has hydronic heating. We also have a couple of businesses that install these in Ballarat specifically. I've heard it's also common in places like Mansfield, Bright etc

Is your neg on this because there's something wrong with it? I've been considering needing some way to automate zones and this seems like the only way to do it on an existing install

I have had hydronic heating, and have seen it at acquaintances, but it is fairly uncommon.
Awesome way to heat, though. I’m thinking of biting the bullet and installing it here with a heat pump for the furnace. But it will be a costly install.
