Does anyone actually buy connoisseur when it’s $12?
Loads. Most people arent ozbargainers. Some people don't want to wait for half price, they want it now.
Like, I see plenty of people buy ben and jerrys at RRP at my local, all the time.
I'm sure people do, but no way would I pay that much for ice-cream. I hardly ever buy Connoisseur anymore. I loved the choc one with the cherry or raspberry swirled through it, can't remember which one it was. I used to love Woolies black forest flavour as well, but both haven't been sold for ages, so I don't buy many 1l tubs anymore. I just buy the 2 litre choc (Bulla, Streets or Cadbury etc) when on special, if I have the room in the freezer.
I have only once bought it for $11 from a servo when i needed it for a party, but besides that never. Saying that, I wont even buy it for half price anymore, not after they changed their formulas a while back and quality has dropped massive, a lot less cream used and their flavours / vanilla quality has dropped. Ice forms a lot quicker, it gets much harder in the freezer and takes longer to get soft. Texture absorbs more ice, such a shame.
Why did they ruin what was arguably the best Ice cream quality out there. I know a lot of people have moved away from it after they changed the formula, Shame that Sara Lee also went downhill so much, they were second in quality back in the day.
I did last night. Had a few drinks, really wanted some ice cream. Only horrible Cadbury’s ice-cream was on sale…
so in this instance - worth it! 😁
I’m not a slave to sales, so yes. If I want something, then I buy it. Simple. Too much time and mental energy can be spent chasing your tail. Having said that, I recognise that I am thrust into a somewhat privileged lifestyle to be able to enjoy this freedom of choice
Miss the days when it used to be $4 on half price!
The only benefit of potato chip prices skyrocketing is that my waist line is looking better..
Coles cares about your health!
But “skyrocketing” is pure hyperbole. Go to Turkey, and you can find out what the word really means
Holding out for $1.58 iykyk ;)
