Hi all
My sister will be staying with us for about 3 months and I'm looking for a double mattress for her. My budget is <$150. Does anyone have any recommendation?

She can stay in my bed :D
You don’t want to see what she looks like first?
Some people can get very desperate.
3 months is not a short time to sleep on something really uncomfortable. I think IKEA is a decent entry point for cheap mattress: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/vestmarka-sprung-mattress-extra…. $279
….‘Love it or exchange it’ mattress exchange policy
‘Love it or exchange it’ is our IKEA 365 return policy for newly purchased mattresses. So, after you’ve slept on it a while, you can return or exchange your mattress if you find it too firm or too soft.
1000% this. Totally agree. 3 months is a lifetime on a shit mattress.
But the issue is an exchange would have to be an upgrade in this case. And the pickup fee is at least $70.

I see where you're going with this…
IKEA and get matching fitted sheets from Ikea. And get a double bed sized electric mattress topper, costs pennies per hour to run. Get some new pillows too instead of those old yellow stained ones.
electric mattress topper
Why electric?
It's warmer. Without it OP might find their sister picking up a $15 Kmart fan heater, which costs dollars per hour to run.
Awful during summer
@[Deactivated]: Take it off in summer, or just don't turn it on. They are machine washable.
@AustriaBargain: No, not a fan of electric blankets or toppers in bed. That's why you have a doona.
@[Deactivated]: You can get electric blankets too that you put on top of your bed. I can't decide which one I like more, but with the cat sleeping on my bed I went with the mattress topper. I use the heated throw on my computer chair. I have a heated mat to put my feet on too. I want to get a small heated blanket to wear while watching TV in the lounge, and maybe one to use when sitting at the kitchen table, though cat normally sits on my lap at the table and keeps me warm anyway.
@AustriaBargain: Your catto is a natural heat source
@AustriaBargain: Have you thought of maybe just buying warmer clothes? Like thermals, fleece & uggs?
@Mechz: Or a clowder of cattos?
Market Place or gumtree
Free stains.
Prob gotta go with the ozplaza living one
