  • Did anybody else pay using Apple Pay and is still waiting for the $5 bonus? My regular cashback has been approved but the challenge itself is still not completed

@gotyourback would you be able to help please? Thanks!

    • +1

Hey mate, Apple Pay can take longer to track than just using your card directly, the window they give us is 14 days so that's likely why it's not yet tracked. Because the card information is slightly obscured by Apple Pay, we have to wait on the information to be confirmed from Apple Pay, which takes a bit longer than from Westpac directly.

      • Thanks gyb. I'm a bit worried because the app says the challenge ends today. But yeah lesson learnt for me not to use Apple Pay next time :D

      • Hi gyb, I noticed the challenge on the app today says "All rewards claimed". I wonder if paying with Apple Pay would push me back on the line? Because I thought you would give the rewards to the first XXX purchases based on timestamp irrespective of payment method

        • Hmmm, the tracked time may well push you back in the queue here, whilst we would typically go by timestamp, once all rewards are claimed the Challenge isn't likely to be redeemable. Definitely recommend using the card directly where possibly to avoid this delay in case it means you miss out!

          • @gotyourback: Oh that sucks mate. I also did the same for the Airbnb GC $10 challenge :(

            • @foxes28: Yeah sorry mate, that's why we typically recommend using the card directly for Challenges as they are limited. I can take a closer look once it tracks, shoot me a message then and I'll see what the go is.

              • @gotyourback: They are both already tracked/confirmed for the regular cashback like 1-2 weeks ago if that's what you are referring to?
