Note: The description on the G715 says that you can choose between switches (GX Brown, GX Blue or GX Red), but I confirmed with JB HI-FI staff that they only have one SKU and switch option (GX Brown) for these keyboards and that's the one you will get if ordering online or buying in store. I'm assuming that is the case all accross Australia for this product.

Logitech description of GX Brown switches: A quiet, yet discernible tactile bump. GX Brown switches offer minimal feedback through actuation to ensure confidence and precision in the actuation moment—without being too loud or distracting. Tactile switches are ideal for competitive and FPS gaming.

For that amount of money you can buy a hot-swappable keyboard, Akko 3098B, Monsgeek M series or Keychron K2 for instance. If you dislike the switches, find them too loud or get tired of them, it's easy to pop them off and replace them with different types — they're very affordable (costs $20~$30 to replace the entire set)

The G715 doesn't have multi-device pairing and the logitech's own brand switches are just average.

Logitech G HUB is hot garbage too.

      • G Hub isn't too bad. I have the G915 TKL which I love but I hate the fact that new keys cost nearly as much as the keyboard itself. Key caps quality is shocking but the keyboard itself is amazing.

  • Anyone know of a good wireless mouse?

I really like the g pro x superlight

      • This! I would get another g pro super light once mine does. Just wished they went USB c but only minor gripe. I tried gaming with top of the line mx master 3 thinking wireless mice are all the same. Was definitely wrong. Using the g pro feels like using a corded mouse.

        • That's just because the mx master sucks. I don't know why it's so popular.

          • @jkim: It's very good for office work though. Spreadsheets etc.

            • @starburstyellow: It really isn't. I used 2 different mx masters for a few yrs due to hype until i replaced them. Mx master all suck for both gaming and productivity. My current favourite mouse is the g903.

              • @jkim: Maybe for you, just saying for me It works for my use case very well. Haven't had an issue to date with my MX Master 3.

                • @starburstyellow: Maybe you've just been using sucky mice all the time and the G Pro was your first decent mouse?
                  1. MX master tracking sucks. Going from a decent tracking mouse to MX Master makes your hands feel retarded.
                  2. MX master responsiveness sucks. Going from a decent responsive mouse to MX Master makes your hands feel retarded.
                  3. MX master gesture button sucks. Causes all sorts of issues, including early death (unless you open him up and "fix" (remove) the gesture button)

And… what exactly does MX master have that any decent mouse doesn't have?
Uhh,,, the slow unresponsive and inaccurate mouse has… the GESTURE button (the same one you removed to prevent the MX master from dying after 1 - 2 years).

                  • @jkim: Perhaps. My mouse before that was a corded razor mouse for many years till it died. Guess my baseline not very good.

    • I like my hyperx pulsefire haste, had no issues with it.

  • Couldn't think of anything worse than a white keyboard.

  • is this headphones actually any good?

  • @OP
Just FYI your links are a little mixed up.
The Amazon links are around the wrong way and The JB HiFI ones both say 713 when the second one is 715.
    Don't like white keyboards :(

Oops, fixed! First post and didn't proof read enough.

Fair enough, white isn't for everyone. Will need to see if I regret this in a few months when it starts to get grubby.

      • How's the keyboard and switches for typing experience? Is it very loud?

Also heard only the F keys can be remapped? Is that true?

At $184, is it worth it?

        • +1

I'm loving it so far. It's a tactile switch, so there is some level of typing sound, but it's not loud enough to bother my husband who works across from me in the same home office. However, it's not a keyboard I would bring to the office (too loud for that). I work in IT and do alot of typing and have loved working on it so far.

I love the RGB, the G-Hub presets are really nice. I've been told fully custom keyboards tend not to delve too deeply into RGB, so it was a good choice for me in that regard. I'm not someone who is chasing different typing sounds or anything like that so fully custom keyboards is just a bit too much effort for me. Plus every time I've looked at fully custom keyboards, the colour I like is sold out or it's a preorder etc. Just way too much effort for a keyboard.

No regrets on my side so far, but to be fair I've only had it for 3 days. The only thing I am concerned about long term is the white keys getting dirty. But since there isn't anything printed on the keys themselves I feel confident I'll be able to clean it without causing damage to the keyboard over time.

RE: F keys, just did a quick google and read "The Logitech G715 uses Logitech G HUB software for customization. You can remap keys, program macros to the F1-F12 keys, and assign a G-Shift button to enable another layer of programming. There's also a feature to set the "Game Mode" to disable keys other than the Windows key, and you can fully customize the RGB lighting. These customized settings can be saved to the keyboard's onboard memory and accessed on systems that don't have the G HUB software installed."

          • @Mooshino: Nice. Glad to hear that.

Im interested in it mainly because of the RGB and typing experience.

Glad to hear it isnt too loud, how's the feel of the typing? Is it nice?

Also you mentioned the RBG lighting was nice, is it still really visible even when it's bright?
