  • What would you recommend for an ABS printer?
Looks like many beds tap out at 100 degrees Celsius, ABS calls for 115 or so
I'd prefer abs printing for automotive use

I think a Bambu Labs P1S would be good for ABS as it is enclosed. CoreXY is a bonus. Costs triple the price of the one in the OP tho.

      • yeah, an enclosure will probably cost an extra 50 to 80 US dollars

ABS printing will require a more stable and higher printing temp than other filaments, it will better to print ABS with the all metal planetary extruder from the SV06, SV06plus and SV07, they will help print it easily. Though you can also print ABS on SV04, SV01PRO, but it is recommended to print with the tunstgen nozzles, and an enclosure add on. https://all3dp.com/2/printing-with-abs-tips-tricks/

      • Thanks Aaron. I'll definitely add an enclosure, I'm more concerned about the most suitable bed temp in the <$500 price bracket.
From a cursory google it seems most beds don't go past 115 degrees?

Haven't seen any brand of ABS calling for more than a 110c and anywhere between 100-110 is ideal.
Just make sure you have an enclosure as abs loves a nice temp stable and warm enviroment to print.

Give the flying bear ghost 6 a look. Apparently it's very good, and more budget friendly than the P1S.

Great product, but was cheaper just before via Amazon …

During the actual prime day sales, they also had $20 off $200 which brought it down to $279 shipped (USD)

  • Anyone got the spin the wheel coupon for $10 off $200? I tried 25 times and only got the $5 off $200 which I think was C16P or P16C
