Would be really awesome to see a Tag feature in deal comments. As in @Moots or at @Op(original poster) and the tagged person gets an inbox notification of this.
Helps keep track of anyone asking or replying to any comments you made or deals you posted.
This could also be handy for deals. As YouTube all you need is the last 6 characters of the video id to view it. If you could refer this it'll be easier to refer to other deals posted.
Yeah moocher I know this feature but as you said. If someone mentions your username you wouldn't know unless you search all the thread comments and stumble across it. You could also Cntl+F to find anything to do with a word. But I think this would be a great feature.

Personally I'd prefer OzBargain Classifieds Trade Ratings to be prioritized but this seems to be an easy task despite what scotty said? Can this be done on greasemonkeyUserScript or extension whereby a private message is sent by the author when he's tagged? Seems open to spam.
Tagging users seems to be available now but how do we do it?

Special usernames like @op or @mods don't work yet. This is still a work in progress.
Also doesn't work if you backspace, need to start the @everyone again. Not a big deal to delete it all and start again, though.
It'll also be nice to have a link to a user profile with that @user too, means if someone comments and says: "Contact @rep", they'll have a quick way to click and message them directly.
I'm sure that will come at some point! Also having users that match the string you've typed so far appear in a drop down to select

As long as you do not select the username from the auto-complete dropdown and keep on typing, @everyone won't be tagged & notified.

There are few instances where i would like to tag everyone (participated in deal) to get updates e.g. The Puma 50% off deal (which was in mid September) and I haven't got shipping details yet, I would like to tag everyone and see if others are in same boat or no. Would be great.

I have never used it but I believe you can tick Subscribe to be notified of any new replies rather than only when someone replies to a comment you made. So in that case if people are interested in hearing about a deal later on they can subscribe. But being able to get the attention of everyone would be useful too in case they don't click that.
@everyone does not work. There's also a limit on how many people you can tag in a comment, basically to reduce the notification spams.
You can currently set a setting where as soon as you post a deal or comment, you are automatically subscribed to that thread. It's called 'Autosubscribe' in your settings.
(I realise that it won't help in the case where only your username is mentioned in another person's comment.)
