Just wondering what others think of knowingly purchase something that has a price input error and possible under cost price?
Not much different to the retailer scan policy to provide an item for free if the scanned price is incorrect? In this case they provided 3 packs of batteries for $19.50 vs 1 free pack for $26. And how many times is it NOT checked and the retailer sells for an over inflated price.
Coles, Woolworths, I have no issues with it. Make a mistake and you pay for it.
Small businesses like cafes and franchises like IGA, I will let them know.
Yup I'd feel guilty, since corporate profits aren't causing inflation /s
depending on the company really, for coles who have had their fair share of shady practices like underpaying staff while making billions in profit if it was me i would sleep quite soundly
If it’s taking advantage of the big supermarkets, my conscience is clean!
LMAO
Lucky for them, but useless for anybody else. No store will match that price either because:
a. Darwin is not near their location to price match
b. If the store considers Coles Darwin to be a competitor, for that cheap a price, they will ring the store and either find out that the price is $26 (price has been corrected), or that there is no stock in store, or both.
Usually an error in pricing that is discovered by a customer is actioned pretty quickly to prevent others from obtaining the incorrect price.

Welcome to the issue every resident of Darwin has trying to get a price match from somewhere down south.
Could be older stock, as they have a new rebrand of the product
Date on back of battery packs: 03-2023
Nope.
Recently got 24 duracell batteries from amazon for $2.
How?
Looks like double half price applied. it's half price of half price!
maths
.
The receipt is from a Coles in Darwin. I think batteries are subsidised by the Northern Territory Government because it's their only source of power up there.
