  • Is cashback invalidated by the concierge credit?

    • +3

Cashback is not applicable on Concierge Gold Service Extras, returns, exchanges and cancellations.

      • +1

Ah damn, missed that. That's crap

        • +4

I don't think that means that… it just means that the cashback won't be applied to purchases of Gold Service Extras.

"Cashback is not eligible for any amount paid with gift cards" is ambiguous but means that they won't give you a cashback for the gift card amount. The balance after gift card will be eligible.

          • @donkeyhokey: Yeh but then there is this

Promo codes or voucher codes not approved by ShopBack & Gift card purchases unless otherwise stated

What about StoreCash? Is that fine to use?

  • +3

my experience in the past: if total order value is $1000, you paid using giftcard/storecash for $200, then cashback calculated only for $800 which you paid by creditcard

But will wait for more experienced member to confirm this or @gotyourback to confirm

    • +3

Hey mate, spot on, gift cards/storecash are fine to use but Cashback will only be calculated based on the portion charge to your card.

      • Great Good to know. Other question where price match on goodguys website (automatic) still qualifies for cash back?

        • +2

Hey mate, any automatic discount is fine, only promo codes and negotiated prices via live-chat or with the staff will cause trouble.

          • @gotyourback: Can I ask a side question .. why do you commonly end these at 8PM est .. why then? Would another 2 hours or midnight make a big difference?

6PM WST is just a bit short (or it becomes 5 in the summer) given not everyone has the privilege of 'shopping' during common weekdays working hours. I can check at lunch correct, but say I needed clarification then that might not come instantly.

            • @Elijha: Hey mate, each merchant will have it's own preferences for time period for flash sales they run with us, some will run until midnight, or be an earlier earlier in the day, so there's no distinct reason I can give I'm afraid.

    • In this instance your cashback would be the same either way - $100.

  • $100 cap, will take PS5 down to $604.. feels like a good deal.

    • +1

Maximum purchase is $733 to hit the cap, assuming cb is paid pre gst

  • +1

Oh i missed the exclusion, 0% cashback for PS5 BOOOooOO!

  • +3

Website will be like swimming through treacle

    • "You do not have the proper authority to log in. Contact the store for further information."

      Lol, righto.

Hmm.. Sonos Sub Mini is 488 … but then a popup opens automatically advising an auto price beat against online pricing of $485 ( guess Harvey Norman) and offers a price of 478… Guessing if I accept this then no cashback?

    • I'd like the answer to this too, for the sonos arc. And is the cap per transaction or per customer total?

    • same question

    • +1

Price beat is fine for cashback. Personal experience. Also rep confirmed above.

      • +1

Thanks for replying .. but due to timezones. etc I missed it.

  • Will price beat online in their website be eligible for cashback?

    • "Negotiated offers" so no.

      • No it will still work.

  • GoPro 11 would be $508.30 with this - is it worth?

My TGG cashback from Cashrewards for an order in early June is already approved whilst my cashback from Shopback for an order in April is still pending.
I suspect Shopback is hanging on the cashback for as long as possible.

Tossing up about getting the dyson gen5detect with the 15% cash back .
Is cashback not calculated on GST as well?

Just trying to figure out whether this works out better $999 with 15% cashback,
    or this deal

  • Anyone bought a refrigerator frm them with cashback? Did it work?

Last time ShopBack had an increased cash back for TGG recently the site was dog slow and ShopBack tracked my click but not my purchase so had to submit a claim that is now going to take up to 150 days (5 months!!) to verify, after which ShopBack Support will likely email me telling me that the merchant has rejected my claim. This experience has really put me off using ShopBack as the exact same thing happened with Bing Lee a few weeks prior, whereas every other merchant has tracked successfully. Be warned. I've never had it this hard with Cash Rewards.
