How about Prescription Glasses, reading or sunglasses?
I am hoping it can be ready within 24-hrs like some Asian countries….
Bonus point if there’s one in Dubai Mall :-)

Make sure you know what a 'normal' price for something is when you go there so you can compare.
I found Dubai extremely expensive for everything. It's a tourist destination for rich people.

I did the safari, it was fun and worth it but basically it's a huge camp where every tour operator converges in the same place.

From the responses, or the lack therof, I dont think Dubai is good for shopping.
Maybe window shoppoing LOL.
Unless your into very high end stuff or want a LOT of variety (ie Malls with 1000's of different but similar shops) - Dubai is not really good for shopping - definitely not cheap shopping. Plenty of other things to do thou. But I would get glasses closer to home personally, more followup service if they end up not being right for you.

Dubai is for experiences. The metro closes at midnight so make sure you’re home before lights out. Beware of making public display of affections.

Buy gold jewellery. Price is spot gold plus a minimal mark-up for making the item, used to be around 5%-10%. Total cost will be around 1/2 what you would expect to pay in Oz.
