SEDITIONARY

I've been training hard for the last 6 weeks of DJ lessons, some people have nil experience and no extra equipment was needed to get into the comp.

The Perth event is on this Saturday 15/7/23 at The Court commencing at 12pm until 10pm and again on Sunday.

Be sure to jump on my Facebook Event to keep up to date with set times as we don't find out until the day. It would be awesome to see heaps of smiling faces up there supporting me.

Thousands of young Australians across the country have applied to live out their dreams and swap their bedroom for the festival main stage. Ten years on, over 9,500 contestants have made the journey, with 61% now holding residencies and performing regular gigs.

Your Shot will give 100+ new Contestants and Wild Cards from each state the opportunity to get their shot. Each contestant will receive 6 weeks of full DJ training at The Academy, where they’ll learn all the fundamentals of DJing and put together their first ever DJ set. Following their training, each contestant will perform for the very first time at a sold out, two day Your Shot event in their state.

The Your Shot event will showcase some of the top national and international headline DJ’s, as well as the best up-and-coming local talent. With around the clock sets from all the DJ hopefuls, each contestant will give it their all for the chance in taking home the title of Your Shot champion, along with a host of life-changing prizes.

The winners of each state will score themselves a set at one of the biggest international music festivals around the world. 2023 prize destinations include:

Hideout (Croatia), Snowbombing (Austria), BPM Festival (Costa Rica), 1015 Folsom (USA), Chasing Summer (Canada), The Yacht Week (Croatia), Snow Machine (New Zealand), Dream Machine (Indonesia), Unleashed (Fiji).

Tickets sell out every year, so advanced purchase is essential! Regular online price is $30 but using code SEDITIONARY, will get you $5 off a single day or $10 of a multi day pass.

Please note, tickets admit you to one day of the event only. You will need to purchase an additional ticket if you wish to attend both days.

      Yeah bit of a trek, were lessons at the place that Slumberjack run? What kind of music you going to be mixing? Hopefully some filthy dnb/neuro or something haha

        I belive it is the same place, the Your Shot instructors have schooled us, I may have learnt on vinyl a gazillion years ago and converted to digital about 10ish or so years ago.

        Hard House is my jam and passion but don't mind some Progressive and House. There are a bucket load of DNB DJ's in the Comp, 50 of us each day and 25 Wild Cards a day plus the Headliners.

        They are pulling out all the stops as we are the first cab off the rank in terms of state to go to showcase, I think Adelaide or Melbourne are next.
