    Besides this obviously been a more powerful tablet the only real big difference is that the Samsung will have local warranty. Google Play gets installed from the Mi app store, so it'll run everything fine.

    I don't really see the A8 in the same ball park as this. I guess the closest Samsung tablet would be something like the S7 FE.

    Usually the cons are things like local warranty and software support. Samsung do typically do better at supporting their tablets for longer compared with other Android tablets.

    Indeed. Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro are both 11". Pad 6 uses the same CPU/storage/RAM as this so in terms of performance it's not really an upgrade.

    Original Chinese ROM is what you want. You'll just need to install Google Play from the Mi app store and you're good.
