  • I got the slightly brighter (but doubt you could tell unless they were right next to each other) PX748 for a bit more than this in Jan, replacing an ancient Epson. Good projector, and excellent price. Downsides - pretty minor ones. It is a little noisier than I thought it would be - as the projector itself is physically so small (I struggled a little to get use my old ceiling mount on it) it has small fans and little in the way to baffle the noise they make. It also leaks a fair amount of light through the grills. Adjusting the focus can also be tricky as it's very stiff and is easy to move the projector itself whilst doing it. All minor stuff. The fans could possibly be replaced with silent versions, the light leak is minimal so can be ignored, and the focus doesn't have to be changed that often so just need to be careful.

    • Do you know what are better fans for the replacment?

      • My go-to would be a Noctua of some form. I haven't gone too far down that path yet, though. The noise doesn't bother me too much so I'll probably do that after the warranty expires. :-)

  • No Keystone with 240Hz and no ARC if you are interested

  • What would be a good replacement for an ageing Sony VPL12HT? I'm hoping on much more brightness on a 120" screen

  • What colour settings do you use?

  • Was thinking to buy but the reviews on Amazon are not very positive.

    • Just got one, it is very good projector and it is very quiet as well, the only small proble is that you need 4m distance from the wall to get 120" picture.
