The cheapest true 4K projector! (Yes, I know its not a true 4K DLP chip, but the pixel shifting technology does give you a native 4K resolution).
Do not settle for some other cheap crap projectors on Amazon. This is the real thing! The 3200 ANSI lumen is bright enough to use with some ambient light. With super eco technology also gives a lamp life of 20,000hrs.

I personally have this projector and I am very happy with it (albeit I purchased at much higher price). Search in Youtube and there are many reviews by real users. Stack with Cashreward deal and you can potentially get another $35 off.

I have had this one for close to two years now. No Complaints and if you are looking for a budget Projector its hard to go past this one.

TLDR - Good performance and value, but I was forced to return it due to issues with my unit.

So I had this projector, purchased from Scorptec. Honestly, mixed feelings.

I purchased it on sale for 1.6k in April. Had it installed in our theater room, and the projector was pretty good straight off the bat.

What was really good is the brightness and clarity of the projector, even with some ambient light, or if the curtains were open.

But the colour was a bit underwhelming. But after playing around with the settings, I was able to achieve colours I enjoyed as well.

However, the biggest problem was this. Within two weeks of usage, the projector developed a high pitch coil whine like noise. Not extremely loud, but noticeable during quiet passages of movies.

Note that its different to just fan noise. In my unit, the fan noise was fine. But the high pitch sound occurred not at all times, but half way into a movie it might start up. So I knew this was a problem, and my guess was it was going to worsen with the age of the projector or just not improve.

Sent it in for warranty at Scorptec. Who couldn't fully replicate it (I had a video of the projector making the sound), but said they did hear some high freq noises which was unusual. They sent it to ViewSonic, who advised that this was a problem, and Scorptec literally processed the refund today.

Probably won't get this projector the second time around, as I feel I think upgrading to a Epson TW7100 (1.6k -> 2.1k) is worth the price.

    Just my 2 cents :)
