Any other reccomendations with a digital display? I'd like to set a target humidity.
Ionmax 610. I wish I bought it years ago. Works pretty well
I have the Ionmax 610, seems good at dehumidifying but unfortunately I can't get rid of the smell
Some discussion here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13883168/redir
Living in Canberra where humidity indoors is a problem. Is this useful or should we use the AC instead?
Can't comparr to other models as this is the only version we tried. Very happy with it (we got it for almost 500 when last year Sydney rains created chaos in our house). The desiccant models are supposed to be better for climates like Sydney's.
Got this model last year when Sydney got flattened by rain. Was an absolute winner. Helped to pull so much moisture out of our place. Being desiccant it's meant to be good in the cold and we've not noticed any issues with it not working well during winter. Can't comment more broadly as this is the only one we've used.
Have used to urgently dry items on the clothes horse since then (don't have a dryer).
Worth noting it's a pretty noticeable noise when used for clothes drying, so probably not for having in the same room you're in at the time. That being said, it is pretty light and has a good carry handle, so easy enough to move room to room.
Has the option for a permanent drainage hose, but we've never considered it.
