  • cheapest way to get this on the digital console? that ive used once in the past 12 months.

    • +1

Legit way, try find the cheapest from other stores (i.e. Turkey store, after conversion is about $40 AUD).

Dodgy way, have lots of friend with PS5 and …..

OZB way, wait for a better deal.

  • How does the PS5 upgrade work?

    • +4

You buy it from the store.

Personally I’ll wait if they lower the native PS5 copy over the next few days. It’s previously been $39.

    • +1

You will still need the PS4 disc in to play your digital PS5 upgrade if that’s what you’re asking.

  • +3

Fwiw I paid this price for the native PS5 version in December last year. That $15 upgrade fee really kills the deal for anyone looking for a current gen copy.

  • -2

I got this off marketplace new $40 last year for the PS5 version played it twice pretty average

    Very grindy game

    • how is this compared to GT Sport?

      • Not much better gameplay wise but the PS5 controller upgrades (adaptive triggers) make it worth the upgrade. Hard to go back. Braking and acceleration are much more immersive.

  • +1

    +1 for the profile pic.

    • Thanks - same to you! I recently changed my username so now they are in harmony 😇

HODL until they add the JZX100 Toyota Chaser.

    • You'll be HODL when they add the Chaser as well.

      • I will not be HODL to such callous untruths; I put it to you, Sega Dreamcast, that if I do not purchase Gran Turismo 7 upon the announcement of the JZX100 Toyota Chaser, that I will eat my hat.

        • +1

Oh ! the nacho hat… good choice !

        • I bought GTfour instead. No time for GT7. Next car will be a chaser

  • +7

I'll tell you what, GT7 on PSVR2 is something else..

    • +3

I play GT7 on PSVR2 more than any other game at the moment… It's something that just has to be experienced

      • +1

You've summed it up perfectly. You can know racing games well, you can know VR well. These 2 together in this case give something beyond the expected result. 1+1 doesn't equal 2 in the game/VR mix. I bet you are like me - spend more time looking sideways at the car you are passing for absolutely no reason. 🤣😂

    • +1

I have no interest in cars in the real world but god damn it's amazing experiencing racing so many different cars in VR2. Such an amazing experience.

      • Yeah it is. What's your setup?. Got a wheel, seat etc?

        • Yeah Logitech G923 wheel with GT Omega seat & 2 x bass shakers.

  • +2

    HODL

  • +3

    Wait for prime day

Don't do it. This is a trap. Retreat if you don't want to end up spending at least 2.5k in buying shet that are not required to play this game :)

On the side note. I paid $39 for PS5 version back in Dec in this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/748094

    • $2.5k in in-game purchases? Or in sim equipment e.g. racing wheel, cockpit, vr2 etc?

      • +2

        the later of course…

        • +1

I've spent about $1.3k after getting GT7…won't be far off $2.5k if I end up getting vr2 headset

          • +1

@Giovinco: Is a deep rabbit hole indeed.

          • @Giovinco: @kekw What gear do you both have for your setups/rigs?

            • +1

@Thundaja: Ended up buying the Fanatec CSL DD wheel bundle, and an additional load cell kit from an earlier deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/781219

Bought the upgraded power supply from Aliexpress for the wheel to output 8nm torque.

Also bought Drivehub and a Hori controller to connect my racing gear to my ps5. Works well pretty well for GT7; I dont mind a few extra cables.

Bought the Trak Racer FS3 stand when they had their EOFY sale; I even bought the wheel mount kit, but turns out I didnt actually require it to mount the CSL DD to the stand.

And for the display, I currently just play in front of my old Kogan TV..tho its only 60hz output lol.

            • +1

@Thundaja: psvr2 is almost a must have.. Once you experienced it can hardly go back to a flat screen but YMMV. and a t300, shifter, tlcm, nlr pit.

  • Can you play the PS4 version on psvr2 or do you need to update to ps5 version?

    • Nuh. You'll need to be on PS5 version but at $15 upgrade it's a no brainer.

  • Wish it was on Steam

  • Oh hey, they made a game based on the movie.

  • +2

I got a penalty just reading this post! +0:3.000 seconds. You'll be forced to read another post

  • Is this in PS+, for those that did the Oldubil deal?

  • HODL for PS5 version.

  • WARNING! Read the amazon 1 star reviews, they have made the game a grind and full of required micro transactions. I'm not buying it.

    • +1

Define required? Literally everything can be bought with in-game currency lol

If all you want is the 16mil car then yes it can be very grindy but most cars go for between 400k to 2mil. You can get 1.5mil in less than an hour in current patch.

      • can you finish the career without paying extra $$$?

        • +1

300 hours in $0 spend in game.
