Seems like a pretty good price, even better than the recent deal ($824.25). I wonder if this is because the Beelink Ser6 MAX will be released soon?

If you're already used to the plugging in everything routine, then sure. They're not designed to be taken around everywhere but as long as you dont drop it (same as a laptop), then it could be a good solution. You won't have to be carrying the keyboard/battery/screen so these things are around 500g.
Keep in mind this thing has a power brick which is supposedly a bit heavy (not sure how heavy).
Cant it be used with USB-C?
I dont see anywhere where it claims that it supports PD in as an alternative to the DC jack.
Yes, you can use USB-C to power it with a monitor or an usb-c charger that provides enough power.
If you're regularly taking it to work it's probably worth buying an extra power brick to leave at work. Same goes for any laptop.
My employer recently bought me a $10k workstation. I would have preferred something like this.
hey, if you don't want it you can always give it to me……. :)
This or Steam Deck to connect to a TV to use as a gaming machine?
Just grab a console for this price with your usecase.
Think this would work as a Roon server?
The current selection of AMD mini-PCs from Beelink/Minisforum thrash the Intel NUC lineup from a performance standpoint, and something like this would be great because you don’t have to spend extra on RAM or a hard drive.3% (23$ off) with Macquarie gift card
What is the difference between Green and "Space Gray" one?

Seems like the same (other than colour) and the gray was priced at $824.25? Not much of a deal then?
Is it barebone? It says 32gb, is that the max allowed or it comes with it?
It comes with 2X 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM preinstalled.
Im not quite following Ryzen series but what is this Ryzen 7 equivalent to intel i7, what generation?
Ryzen 7 7735HS (2023) is a renamed Ryzen 7 6800HS (2022) with a 0.05ghz higher max boost clock. Both of which are on the a Zen3+ architecture. You don't see this on desktops because this is really just the zen3 architecture but manufacturered in TSMC 6nm, which means performance wise its a slightly upgraded Ryzen 7 5800HS (2021) but does come with upgraded iGPU(680M), better power effiency leading to a bettery battery life, and supports DDR5 ram as well as PCIE 4.0.
Performance wise, you can expect it to hover around that of a desktop Ryzen 7 5700G (2021) APU if not a bit better especially in the graphics department. This desktop chip is a really just the mobile Ryzen 7 5800H (2021) binned for desktops and with a higher 65w TDP. And the difference between the 5800H to the 5800HS is also just a difference in TDP, with the -H chip pulling 45w TDP and -HS at 35w only.
Ah thank you for explanation

I grabbed the Beelink SER5 a couple of months ago and have been quite impressed. I paid $699 and that was $100 off… So I recon this deal for the SER6 is pretty good. I've set my SER5 up as a headless dev/Steam streaming machine (not AAA titles, but things like Jackbox and lots of retro / simple games from my Steam library). I installed my own 1TB SSD. Note also that these come with Windows 11 Pro which is nice. Am defs tempted by this deal. Would recommend :)
Has anyone experienced issues with malware / other dodgy stuff with preloaded Windows?

As a person who always docks the laptop between home and work (and never use the screen), will this type of portable system work well?
