Referee Gets $750 off Model Y & 90 days Enhanced Autopilot, Referrer Gets 10,000 Referral Credits @ Tesla

2410

Starting July 7, 2023, if your friend orders a new Model Y using your referral link:

  • Referee receives A$750 off the purchase price and 90 days of Enhanced Autopilot.
  • Referrer receives 10,000 referral credits.

If you own (or have previously owned) a qualifying product, and you subsequently purchase an additional qualifying product with the same Tesla Account, you may also qualify for the cash awards and benefits listed above.

If an existing owner attempts to order through a referral link (whether their own or a friend’s), they will not qualify for referral credits, because the buyer is already part of the Tesla community. Instead, the owner automatically earns the buyer cash awards and exclusive referral benefits associated with the purchased product.

Updated as new Model 3 is no longer included

    • Maybe you can remove access or delete her account before referring her?

  • not a owner, planning to be. DL'd Tesla App, shows cars and pricing for USA with no way to localise.
    How to get a referral?

    • Send me a DM I can help

      • just using website as per choofa's recommendation

I ordered my car through the website its easy to change the country there
There is a random referral link on the top of this page

  • hi all, just wonderin, those that already had a referral previously, and got an email about the updated 750 off + EAD. Did the original referer get updated to 10k points or still on the 2k points?

asking as a fam member got the email and i still only have 2k points in "history" (not delivered yet)

    • The referrer doesn't get points until after the sale is completed.

      • +1

As above a friend used my code and I only got 2000 credits rather than the 10000. I’ve already got the credits so not sure what you mean about points after the sale is completed?

        • +1

From the conditions of the offer: Item 7 under 'Refer a Friend' - After your friend places an order, credits will appear as ‘pending’ in the Tesla app until the Grant Date.
The Grant Date is the date the new Tesla is delivered.

Therefore - The referrer doesn't get points until after the sale is completed.

          • @SteveM: yeah my points are in history as "ordered" (pending), haven't received the points yet, but was hoping it would also be upped to 10k instead of staying at 2k.

            Ah well, no stress

            • @quasio: Yep also got 2k bit of a bummer but oh well

    • For your friend, apart from the email "updated with $750 off + EAD", did he/she actually received an updated invoice? As I only received the email but no updated invoice. Thanks.

    ordered!

  • What do you do if you don't know anyone with a referral code? I don't like the idea of using random referral codes from Google and giving credits to someone I don't even know.

I'm hoping to find someone willing to buy me a mobile connector with the credits, but it obviously needs to be someone I can trust to hold their end of the agreement.

Huh? You want to use someone's referral code and also get them to spend their credits on you?

    • +1

So you want to use a referral code to save yourself $750 off the purchase price of a Tesla. Great idea.
You also want the person giving you their code to give you 6000 of their 10000 referral credits to buy YOU a mobile connector?

Should they also come round and mow your lawn? Cook your dinner? Perhaps your walls need painting also? Why stop there, you should go all in with your list of demands!

    • Just hit the referral link here on OzB and pay it forward… before you know it, your link might get hit too.

    • I'm happy to help

  • Can you use the credits to buy acceleration boost on LRs?

  • Pretty sure this ended on 30 September 2023.

    • It’s still going for the Model Y
The app still says 10,000 credits and $750 discount and 90 days EAP

Annoyingly they have removed the wall connector from the list of items to redeem

  • Yes, only seems to offer Model Y as option for referral credit and purchase, not Model 3. Has anyone been able to add referral code prior to delivery, but after ordering, if Model 3 became eligible later?

    • There has been a few comments about not being able to do that and being told the only way is to cancel, losing the deposit, and reorder with the referral.

      • Choof do you know of anyone that successfully got their bank to refund their deposit using chargeback?

        • Not that I’ve heard. I tried to get mine back but Tesla refused to even entertain the idea.

  • +1

Tesla sales rep advised me they are reducing the amount from $750 to $350 from 1st November 2023. Anyone planning to get a Model Y needs to put their deposit order through by 31st October to qualify.

On a side note, has anyone successfully received a refund for their order fee through a chargeback through their bank? Please DM me, I need help.

    • I’m guessing they are trying to make it less than the deposit cost to stop those who ordered without a referral cancelling and reordering to save money
