  nice cobras, the large sizes seem to go on sale more frequently,

  I got my 250mm with the standard red handles for $31 in 2020

  Just curious. I have a few shift wrench around home. And I've seen these pop a few times on Ozbargain. How are these superior than a shift wrench?

    These are just a multi grip or a slip joint plier with a button to lock it in.

    They make a "wrench plier" and it is superior in a few ways but the ones I've noticed are:

    Higher jaw grip force due to lever action jaw

    Once set, the wrench won't become loose and need readjustment

    When used correctly, the jaw grips tighter as you turn a bolt or nut and don't round off a bolt or nut

    Can be used for bending and straightening some materials

    Can be used to turn stripped nuts and bolts

    Smooth, spanner like jaws will not damage the coating of the fastener like a multi grip or a shifter… good for galvanised or anything you want to stay looking nice and not rusted etc

    Hope I got this right. I'd love to hear some other uses
