Does this use standard bit sizes or are they specific to the brand/model? Wouldn't want to be limited to the included bits or an expensive proprietary bit ecosystem.
yes, standard 1/4" drive size
It's a great ratchet, feels very solid in the hand
Other Wera tools on sale - https://www.amazon.com.au/deal/673cd17f?pageNum=1&sortOption…
The Wera Stubby Magazine RA 2 also the similar price - Same handle but with Pozidriv bits.
Pozidrive backwards compatible with PH?
edit: no
Just a head's up, you lose a T15 and T20 torx bit in exchange for the pozidrive bits. I personally find the torx bits are better to have in something like this, but each to their own.
One of those who don’t want to wait/pay for an lttstore one :p
Need my sets to match , LTT needs to hurry up
Yeah they're not exactly quick on the turn around of the bigger projects, worth it if they're awesome though
Apparently they might be doing a translucent ratcheting screwdriver , tempting
@Sandwichface: Yeah and potentially wood too, though I think the translucent is more likely to become an actual product
They're so expensiveeee
Agree, especially seeing as it's made in China
for real, USD$98 shipped/taxed ~ AUD$150. I'm sure it's great, but vast majority of people are probably better off buying a new Wera every year for 5 years, or something off ebay/aliexpress/temu for 20 years.
Hard to recommend a tool using non-standard bit sizes.
So the bits they come with are short, for improved magnetism and to fit more bits into the storage but you can actually use it with longer standards bits with no problem, it can fit up to 42mm bits in the holder if you're willing to use the space that would fit two of their bits for one.
It's designed to take normal bits as well
I know we're talking apples and oranges but for anyone who doesn't need wera quality and wants some additional functionality I got these from temu and they are surprisingly good quality and solid.

That multi-angle head is great,
but usually I'm reluctant to buy Chinese-made tools.
Yea obviously your call - For the price it may be 'fit for purpose' for some people out there (like me).
This looks good. Is the bit holder magnetic?
yes
I got both ,, but these are shits , compared to wera,, better spend little bit more i would say…
Torx 15, 20, 25
This would be a better set, if there were more Torx bits.
Yeah this would be better if it could fit a full ratchet set and my lunch in it too
You can fit in more bits like this design,
but then the handle would need to be much bigger,
and then Wera set (above) couldn't be called kompakt anymore.
I have a similar one I got for free with some vicegrips. Very very useful in the kitchen draw.
The 6 set of Joker wrenches are a great price at the moment, too:

Not all-time low, but haven't seen them this cheap for a long time.
That is a good price.
What is it? I want it.
There's an 'amazon basics 12 in 1 magnetic ratchet screwdriver' for $21.90 on amazon.
bits also stored in the handle.
I love Wera as a brand, but this is still overpriced I reckon.
Check out this set from Stanley. Rachetting screwdriver, in handle storage, extension, more bits… $36

does it come in stubby size is the question
The Stanley is a re-branded stubby ( https://www.amazon.com.au/LENOX-LXHT60901-STUBBY-RATCHETING-… ) only has a 40 tooth ratchet and is much larger. When it comes to tools it's the small precision differences that make the difference in prices.
If your just after a tool that does the job and those differences don't matter to you, then ofcourse go for the cheapest one you are happy with.
@Villainous: I have no doubt the Stanley is a re-brand… a lot of their stuff is.
Just saying that if someone is going to shove this in a kitchen draw for quick access jobs, maybe this WERA stubby isn't needed?
Don't get me wrong, I love my WERA and WIHA screwdrivers… beautiful manual drivers to use.
Like everything, you get what you pay for. I just don't see the value in a high quality rachet in this format of driver is all.
A good price for a 26 piece 1/4 Zyklop set for $88.
Yes, I like the look of this stubby screwdriver but I'd recommend this to anyone without any wera tools, IMHO moeny much more well spent. For $88 at this quality its really good value, super handy and light weight.
That's a good price. I just checked my Amazon purchases and paid $94.16 for that kit November last year. (There was a 10% bonus discount for buying two items stacked at the time)
It's not stubby, it's a good size
