A stasher bag is a reusable bag that is microwaveable and freezer safe too. I have four and they are brilliant to use as they form an excellent seal and are air tight. The sous vide community loves using stasher bags as an alternative to single use vacuum bags.
So is a snip lock bag? Which can last as long as you take care of them.
Way more sturdy than any resealable bag of that nature.

I have some of these. They do a decent job and should last a long time. But they do retain the smell of foods (e.g., garlic) that I have stored in them and no matter how much I hand wash them, I cannot remove the smell.

Yes, tried many things. Nothing could remove the smell.
If they are truly silicone you can bake them in the oven .. this is what I do to the silicone o rings in my brewery equipment, works a charm
