classic quality control of shopback… when i pointed out, they said sorry we are too busy to test.. shocking reply

    • Sounds about right coming from those OS numpties. Just about everything they do is half-assed.

Are earphones classified as 'cameras & electronis'?

    • Yeah it's a sub-category of electronics.

So are cameras, which makes it's weird that it's stated at all.

Doubly annoying is that accessing items via search more or less breaks your ability to visibly see it's category. Even blanked it out from the javascript var.

Just uhh, view source and search for //mdgdl.viewDeal I guess. It's still printed there, but commented out.

There are fun things not in Electronics, but lets not mention them here lest Woolworths come racing in for their money.

Is hard to withdraw from ShopBack in these days?

    • -1

yes even more so since westpac partnered them with offers

i earned bonus 2% on standard 0.4% just on my bigw order

      • LOL

when i read that withdraw, thought he meant it as "not using" shopback

    • Just a few clicks, withdrawn $100+ to my non-westpac bank and no issue

    • Their tracking on upsized cashbacks or Westpac bonus cashbacks is complete and utter trash.
Withdrawal to my bank account is fast though.

    which rmeinds me

site's an absolute mess, no quality control or checks on what their vendors list.

    TF is this

  • Good thing someone pointed out electronics, I initially read that as cameras only before…
Was going to get a docking station, unfortunately that comes under electronics :(

Bugger that the code for the Ergohuman isn't included - would jump on it if that was the case.

    • Might have been office chair deal of the year if it did. Awesome chair, tried it in a store

    • +1

Bought this chair through Shopback and used the 20% code. Received an email from shopback says transaction is tracked with $40 cashback

      • Well, might be worth the risk then - I'll give it a crack. Cheers.

      • +1

Keep in mind that the cashback would still need to be confirmed though… @Naed

        • +1

          Yeah - I know. I've had a crack.

  • Can you use gift cards as partial payment for the transaction? I saw this "Gift card purchases unless otherwise stated", but I am reading this as I can't purchase gift cards as opposed to not using them.

    • I guess you just wouldn't get cashback on the gift card portion that you used for payment, similar to stores like TGG I think.

  • Can you use $10 promotion code for new MyDeal customer and still get this 18%?

  • Trying to find anything of value. I've seen cheaper SSDs on Kogan!

Maybe the Crucial P3 Plus, assuming the cashbacks track properly? That's a solid maybe.

    • +1

Computers category is a sub-category under electronics category, which is only 3.50% - so I'd assume that's the rate computer parts would get.

      • 15% Westpac might make items slightly better than street price, but yeah not worth it.

  • So it's finished for non-Westpac customers?

  • Hmm the upsized cashback of 18% shows as tracked for me now, but no sign of the Westpac bonus… should I be worried I wonder?

    • +1

Same with me, Westpac bonus has not tracked

    • @gotyourback - any chance you might be able to help us out on this particular promo? Would be greatly appreciated.

It’s been more than a week and while the purchase has tracked, the Westpac bonus hasn’t.

      • +1

Hey mate, sorry to hear of the trouble you're having here, this definitely should have tracked by now so it sounds like there might have been an outage with your particular transactions as it doesn't seem like it was a blanket issue. Definitely reach out with the details via DM and I can do my best to take a closer look for you.

        • Thank you!

          Message sent.

        • DM sent as well. Thanks

        • Have had the same issue. I've submitted a missing cashback form.

  • Has anyone had their Westpac bonus track on their Shopback account?

It's been more than 2 weeks for me, and it hasn't appeared. Raised a missing cashback request via Shopback, and also DM'ed @gotyourback - but nothing in reply so far.
