  • Literally on a flight now from Singapore to Tokyo. Not too bad and passes the time nicely

    • Nice, do you have to use a VPN to access OzB?

      • Nope no VPN is needed. Speed is just okay for some online games like chess and reddit.

Can't upvote on this so commenting so I can feel remember

  • Can we use this for already booked flights?

    • +2

Yes as you can add a KrisFlyer number via the manage booking option on the Singapore app or website

      • We are flying with SIA in June. Although the tickets are Velocity reward tickets. Wonder if would be able to add Krisflyer number to the booking.

You definitely can add a krisflyer after a virgin booking by going to the Singapore site (which I do to pick seats for my virgin bookings) the only reason you wouldn’t do it would be if you wanted lounge access with virgin status , I’m not sure if that would get wiped as you’re on a KrisFlyer number ? Maybe someone else knows

          • @Onemoredeal: Thank you. I don't have gold status so missing out on the lounge is not an issue.

      • +1

The name on the KrisFlyer account has to match the ticket, of course.

Don't fat finger the name on your account like I did. (Or you'll have to contact support.)

"Voting not allowed on deals posted over 180 days ago" -> If a deal can be "reposted" and features on OzB's homepage, then surely an upvote should be possible?

    • I agree. We should be able to thank the OP for deals that keep on giving.

    Does scoot qualify

  • Its mostly for messaging and light browsing and it wont be consistent fyi. speed is ok but the main issue is dropouts

All airlines should be doing internet access on board with Starlink being widely available now.

    • Only available on tesla model flY

  • Will Stremio that’s all I want to know

  • 100% can confirm this free wifi and yes, I did visit the ozbargain website from Adelaide to Singapore and from Singapore to London just last week.

  • Can the same Kris membership number be used to redeem this by other persons on the same booking? i.e Me, Wife and kid, but I only entered my Kris membership number at time of booking

    • +1

Everyone needs their own Krisflyer membership, you can enter it anytime before they issue your tickets, e.g. during check-in.

        Thanks Snivy

  • How do they check whether you are a Kris member when you are connected to the WiFi network on the plane?

    • If I remember correctly, once you're connected to the in-flight wifi they'll bring you to this page where you have to enter your last name and seat number.

      • Correct for the free one.

  • Just flew Malaysia airways, free on theirs.

  • couldnt pay me to sit in a Boeing at the moment

lol wait until you hear about airbus too

    • They fly airbus as well?

  • Nice, if it works…

  • Hasnt this been around for a while?

    • It's been reposted (From 30/06/2023). Hence the "long running" label at the top of post.

  • do you need to request it when you get on the flight or?
