I find that personally with all Colorado, Hush puppies and Julius Marlow, I have to go down in sizing e.g I am a US10 in runners and I have to get a UK8.

I just bought 2 shoes. Thank you for your hard work!

    • +19

      That's 1 pair. Nice!

Bought. And code MATHERS10 give you 10% discount and may be better for those buying one pair only, has to be first purchase to get the discount

  • These vs timbs - any difference in quality?

    • +12

Timbs are a waterproof Blake stitch, which is good quality and wears well. These will be glued rubbish. There’s no comparison at all in terms of quality.

      • Don't mind rubbish for this price

      • +4

Considering 99% of Timberlands wouldn't even set foot on a worksite anyway, I don't think these lacking waterproof seams is going to be a problem

        • Why not at a worksite?

        • Are you suggesting people who don't work on worksites don't find themselves in wet conditions?

Everytime there's a rain downpour here in Melbourne the gutters flood and you find yourself tip toeing through torrents of rain water or large standing puddles.

          • +1

@casualusercts: Steel cap safety boots are what they wear. I’m sure timberland has some but the majority of their customer base is not that.

            • @ATangk: I wear the Pro series Timbs - they've got an alloy cap boot which complies with AS. To be fair I'm only on worksites to inspect as an engineer so I'll be the first to admit I'm not banging them hard.

Plus is, you give em a clean and you can wear them on the weekends!

        • Not too flashy at all, got mine from Costco for $110, on sale for $99 every so often as well

I would have bought the ones posted here but doesn't look like they're steel capped

        • +1

The question was difference in quality, the differences between these two are massive.

Beyond that, timbs aren't steel capped so they wouldn't be allowed on a proper jobsite anyway.

  • Is Mathers legit?

    • +1

Yeh it is a legit store in major shopping centers. They are pretty much identical to Williams shoes

    • Matters Shoes have been around for 100 years in Qld. Was friends with some of the Matters family.

One of their sons is shady, we don't talk about Marshall.

Note that these are wide fit

  • Ah, I couldn't see any in SA

  • Would you say if you wore Hush Puppies that the size on colorado is the same?

    • Yeh they are the same. I usually go off sizing in CM as AU/US/UK can get all confusing

  • How is the fit, I need wide shoes … I now noticed it says the size 12 are EE wide fit so perfect for me;)

  • When I add size US 12 to the bag, I get a size 11 at check-out

  • Size 9 has been Ozbargained. There were 3+ when I initially put them in the cart, but none left by the time I went to pay!

  • These shoes are extra wide. Beware

    • +2

Free returns so if it's too big for me, it'll just cost a bit of time to post them back.

Perfect for that beautiful brake foot of yours Rhonda

Bought 3 pair. Thank you OP!

  • +3

Great for the price but if these are anything like my similar Caterpillar Boots the brown/black PU cover bit at the top (padded ankle collar? lol) of the boot will promptly start falling apart even if you seldom wear the boots.

  • +3

    "5 left in stock"

    order now

"sorry, we are out of stock in your size"

Oh well. Really don't need more boots.

  • Thanks OP

  • Everything’s sold out went quicker than Tay Tay tickets

  • Sorted for smoko

  • Must be really wearing these in office.

  • +4

Funny how the brain works. If they were 49 including shipping, then that's still a great deal. But for some reason the shipping always puts me off.

  • got 2 pairs, sandals and slides and 50%off second pair code, but $10 postage 39+39+10 - 19.50

    • +1

If you got a second pair of slides, you would have got 50% off the 2nd + 4th pairs and gone over $65 after all discounts to get free shipping.

    Back in stock, expiry removed

    • Thanks mate bought one pair

      • No stock a refund has been issued :-(

    • Out of stock again it seems. Says two sizes avail but they arent

  • Keep in mind that these are genuinely garbage shoes. I've owned a pair and wore them once before the glue came unstuck. Buyer beware.

  • i was going to get some timberlands, but these are exactly the same thing for way cheaper. why would you even buy timberlands?

    • Better quality.

      • these are $39, Timberlands are $349.99

There is no way it is 1000% better paying 10 times more.
i think it would be better to buy multiple pairs of these for $39 instead of buying 1 boot.

        • If you're paying $349.99 you're paying too much. They've been on sale previously for much less.

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/timb

1000% better probably not, but I've had a pair that have outlasted boots like these ones several times over.

          • +1

@dbell: fine, i will get timberlands.

thanks for your help mate. i love you. no homo.

    • but these are exactly the same thing for way cheaper.

why would you even buy timberlands?

They're either exactly the same, or they're not. Which one is it?

  • Isn't Colorado rubbish these days?

  • Do these have steel caps?

  • None left in stock in any size… sold out

  • These look like fake Timbs. Just get the real thing.

    • might be because people can't find timbs for $39

      • People shouldn't feel entitled to Timbs for $39 and should just save up.

        • i hear you mate, but not all of us are blessed to be a millionaire like yourself. we try to get what we can with what we have.

  • Just how high will these boots be able to take me?

    • probably don't want to smoke a whole one in a session, pretty high ay.

  • Had a look today instore.
The sizes are huge, im an 11 and my size was 9.
The quality is so so but i wouldnt buy them for $50 Delivered. Maybe $40 all up max.

  • Another alternative $69 still seems like a decent price

  • Did other receive their orders yet or a tracking number? I havent heard a peep since the original order confirmation email.

    • +1

I got mne within a week of ordering them. I returned them as they were probably two sizes too big
