  • what would you use this for? is it an alternate option if you have a small patch of lawn in your gardens? or is it made redundant if you have a string trimmer?

could this replace a lawn mower, if you used it like every 2nd week or something?

    • It looks like a really good way to lose a toe or three.

      • -5

If that's the case, you shouldn't be using any tools what so every in your life time lol

      • +2

        Still got 4 left

        • +1

          Insufficient quantity.

    • Useless and gutless

      • And the batteries are a hazard, I promise you … I KNOW!

    • The ad from the link says it's used for harvesting corn and rice. Just what I need, lol

  • Looks like a toy 🧸 how do you prune with this

    • It's a trimmer, not a pruner. A useless looking one, though.

    • Might be better for your manscape than your landscape.

      • Nah man, some sort of BDSM tool gone wrong then repurposed as something else.

    This looks ridiculously dangerous

  • +3

Adjustable machine head, no dead angle, no dead angle, no dead angle, no dead angle.

Don't you forget it. No dead angle on this adjustable machine head.

    • Anybody knows if there are any dead angles?

  • +7

Circular saw on a plastic stick. What possibly could go wrong?

    • +1

My thoughts exactly. Especially with the unpredictability of trees and bushes.
Be safer pruning with a normal circular saw, with less blade exposure. Still not recommended.

  • +3

Nah, I'll just attach a chain to an angle grinder. Probably safer than this.

I don't downvote very often, but I feel like this meets the threshold for "issue with product". If not, feel free to report/neg away.

This is just straight up dangerous. Any sort of sub-optimal use (i.e not on a putting green) and you'll be risking your limbs. The "guards" are cosmetic and won't stop it hurling projectiles or itself at you when you hit something that isn't a blade of grass. No thanks.

  • I am so tempted to get this one to get 2 Batteries (Makita 18V Compatible)

Why does this crap come up in my "Makita: alert set through Ozbargain, it it aint genuine … GTH!

Yeah, buy this and have a battery blow un your hand and frick your place up, they are truly bad cells and I still have the burn scares around the cover of my solar jbox where the thing landed as it cought fire as I removed it from the charger and threw it away, burnt my hand!

Managed to kick the thing outside where it fized and burned for quite some time, leaving a dead patch in the grass.

bought 4, the other 3 are dead!

Bought 4 genuine on special in a 4pack on a BNPL scheme after this, poor basterd man pays twice!

don't do it! this poor quality crap should be banned … HARD lesson learnt!
