    Rivers doing dropping now?

    • Have been for a while now, at least a few years. Similar to how Bunnings do it - mix in their own items with 3rd party sellers on their website.

    • +2

Every website is a marketplace these days.

  • +3

Looks like a slightly different ‘part number’, so Officeworks may not price match

  • -4

    Thanks, bought 3

    • +7

please screenshot your receipts to us ;)

    • you have 3 ears?

      • +3

        6 ears… to be precise

        • or going to insert into other body openings.

        • Three heads. Not even from Tasmania.

  • Hmm, Sony WF XM5 coming soon?

    • They're a couple months out but Sony's asked RRP for them is laughably bad. ~320 Euro.

  • +3

    Hmmm. Could these be non-genuine??

    • +2

      Or grey import

1- Check serial number at https://checkcoverage.apple.com/
If there is already a warranty expiry date, then it is definitely fake.
Because the fake one copies the serial number of the genuine one.
The expiry date is for the real one's serial number.

2- Check the package weight with a digital scale
If it is around 240g, then it is most likely genuine.
If it is around 200g, then it is definitely fake.

3- (Before tearing) Look at the tearing line
If there is apparent cut line along the tearing line, then it is definitely fake

4- (After tearing) Check the tearing line
If it is neat, then it is most likely genuine.
If it is not neat, then it is most likely fake.

5- (After tearing) Check the surface of the tearing-off material
If it is with some plastic coating, then it is most likely genuine.
If it is paper, then it is most likely fake.

6- (After opening the package) Check the Airpods pro holder inside the packaging
If it is made of cardboard, then it is most like genuine
If it is made of plastic, then it is definitely fake

      • Many are being sold on eBay and you could tell it fake from the pictures and probably its price. 😛

  • What does Online Exclusive Style mean?

  • +1

Googling LFL, seems like some logistics warehoure or distribution centre, they are also selling the same price through Katies as well.

    • +1

Katies and Rivers fall under the same parent company if I recall correctly. Probably use the same eCommerce model.

No luck price matching in OW :(

    • +1

      damn..

    • Thanks, was just wondering this.

    • +1

It seems to depend on who you get with their price matching

    • Try again, I just got it 15 minutes ago

  • +1

JB Hi-Fi wouldn't match as its a "marketplace" item

  • I wouldn't buy from Rivers online store, they're under Mosaic brands and have a lot of issues actually fulfilling orders and refunds etc

  • Better wait for prime day! I will stay away from in ear headphones. I can’t stand in ear ones in general and don’t understand how other people find this comfortable. Or is it just that you get used to them after a while?

    • Some people love them, some hate them. I love them as the extra isolation is excellent for noise cancelling. I don't find them uncomfortable at all.

    • I don't mind them, but I certainly don't love them. In-ears are my least favourite. My main use case is the occasions when I leave the house by myself without a backpack.

When you consider compromises for portable audio, IMO, the Airpods Pro are pretty good -

      • Flat case that fits in a coin pocket. Possibly one of the best cases for this style of earphone
      • Wireless charging
      • Easy switching if you own multiple Apple Devices
      • Decent sound - well, good enough. Most of the time, at least for me, you aren't going to be 100% focussed on music when using them.
    • I cant use in ear headphones due to my ears looking like Alan Joyces, with the surprising exception of a Bose pair I own.
I am all in for over ear headphones such as the QC45s, A20s, WH-1000XM4/5s and others

But there is a good market for these, people love em such as 100% of the people I know except for myself.

    • Everyone is different. I hate in ear headphones but the Airpod pros are the first pair I have been able to tolerate, the pass through makes them even better and I can actually sleep with them in unlike a lot of other ANC options.

Officeworks price matched and beat it by 10%, just in time as mine are on its last legs

    • just in time as mine are on its last legs

      What do you mean?

      • I have had then fixed, replaced and swapped over 11 times, now the warranty is out, they are starting to fail again. The mic sounds like I’m under water and the Bluetooth drops out a lot now.

  • Did anyone end up getting them? I ordered and a week later i got my order canceled and refunded. Call it BS
