Under clearance. Still seems to be plenty of stock. Nice at around 3c a piece.

You won't get any kink shaming from us lot.
Grabbed one thanks
Have this and other similar lego sets. Any recommendation on where I can get ideas on what to build with these pieces? I was using rebrickable.com with good results, and thought about using that AI one that looks at your pieces and provides ideas, but wasn't willing to pay the overpriced fee. Any other recommendations from lego builders around here?
you can also DL the manuals from any lego design - give that a shot? - might be hard as some kits have specific pieces.
That's what i was thinking, and was worried about the potential missing pieces. Rebrickable is pretty good since you enter the lego set number you are using and it gives you community made instructions that use those exact same pieces.
Youtube the set number
You could probably build a deep sea submarine
If you have the time and patience you can input your inventory onto rebrickable (website) and they have a feature that'll show you what you can build with your pieces (both official and user generated) and also show you builds that you almost have all the pieces for and you can even buy the pieces you don't have to complete it.
Just put the set number in and it will do automatically.
Thats awesome! Will look into that. Should come in Andy if you have 2 or more sets available and want to build something that combines all the pieces together, as searching for the set number only considers the pieces for that specific set
Got one thanks. Didn't know about rebrickable.com either. We bought a set of 4 books for lego ideas at Costco the other day.
Is this a pricing error? Kmart cancelled my oder
Did they say a pricing error is the reason for cancellation?
Click and Collect? likely stock level error in store you chose to collect from.
There was a fire station set I ordered last year from four different stores and three cancelled due to stock error. In that case mine might be cancelled because I just did a click and collect and there was apparently only one box at my local Kmart.
Thanks OP got one
A good price for the set, but it's a disappointing set imho. I bought two boxes from Kmart at about $45 each, a couple of months back - thinking the more bricks the better - but don't be suckered in by the 1200pcs count.
For example, it has only ~30 1x4 bricks in all the colours combined (about three of each colour) - which isn't enough to build even half of a multi-coloured house. There are very few windows and no doors, nor wheels.
I guess it depends on what you want to build, but we now have a lot of bricks that we don't use for anything - like studs, slopes, and massive 2x8 bricks. This is true, I went to look at the parts list last night, the piece count is buffed up by smaller pieces, but significant sized pieces like your standard 2 x 8 and 1x4 are very limited, which isn't great.
Handy to know cheers - still going to grab it to start my kid off. Any idea where I could get some doors, windows or wheels?
It should be a nice set for starting off for a kid.
If I could rewind time to that point for my kids, I think less is more. It might have been better to just get a small Classic box and let them see how creative they can be with the bricks that are there - it can be surprising what they come up with.An easy way to get some wheels would be to buy a couple of small City vehicle sets that are often under $10 at Kmart, Big W and Target (when the have 20% off).
City and Lego Friends is probably the way to go to get a couple of less expensive buildings - Lego Friends is often on sale. (But note that Friends sets are a slightly larger scale than usual Lego sets - the bricks are the same but there is an extra row in buildings as the figures are larger). Keep your eyes open for sets on clearance that have lots of the bricks you might want. I got the Lego Farm for $40 at Target recently purely for the bricks.Try second hand Lego resellers. There are usually a few around. IE Brickresales in Brisbane. They clean the bricks first and sort them.
There is also gumtree/FB market place etc some good deals with people selling their kids stuff off, 5 or 10kg if you want to go big.
So true. I always wonder if i should do Pick A Brick instead.
But the price of it isnt cheap too, while the selection is sometimes weird :(One of the best kits I got was one of those Lego sets in the bucket. Firstly it's a great place to store all your Lego when it's in pieces, second they seemed self sufficient enough with windows and doors for building houses.
Cheers OP, ordered one
Cheers, plenty for sprinkling on the doorsteps of my enemies
Bought two sets. Going to use them to play lego Pictionary. :)
…what is lego pictionary?
I'm going to guess that you play Pictionary but use LEGO instead of drawing.
Just went to the Kmart and this is normal price??
Yeah, it's normal price at Kmart. Seems to be about $10 cheaper than other retails (e.g. Kogan).
No, it was about $50 a couple of months ago.
Thanks OP, your timing is excellent as my kids are just getting into Lego.
Thanks op. Added to the collection.
Grabbed 2 in gungahlin. I think I got the last 2. Listed for $45 - scanned at $35- used coles MasterCards to buy %10 off Kmart cards for a score of like $28 a set ^^ also had kids clothes at 50c each
where to get 10%off? Do you stock that before?
Yes prior
MOC-84237 at rebrickable is a good MOC of this
For those buying multiple sets hoping to build interesting things.
Note this is for kids's creative build - it doesn't have to be anything adults recognise
There are hardly any curves (some arches and curved bricks) so you can't build anything not blocky
There are no axles (except 1) or windscreens or wheels so no vehicles
There are hardly any windows, doors, hardly any slopes so no bigger houses
Micro builds are good with this set - hard for beginners to enjoy but some experienced builders focus on this.
To have flexibility to build many sets, people typically have 50-100+kg of sorted, varied Lego (easier and much cheaper to get secondhand).
Get a cheap Creator 3in1 to get many possibilities e.g. 31087 (discontinued) was $7.20 at lows; cheaper after incentives - has many alternate builds.
Sometimes in life, less (pieces) is more (builds).
Out of stock online now, and stock levels so low it won't allow for C&C at any store that I tried in WA :(
wanneroo is still showing stock
@PissLUR If you drill down and look for stores with stock it's actually showing OOS. I've been caught a couple of times with the Wanneroo store that way. Website says they still have stock but they actually don't.
At least 5 left at KARDINYA WA store, not on main shelves but just on front in a stocking roll cage.
Got one. Thanks, OP :)
Online delivery order was canceled - couldn’t source stock. Boo.
first order is cancelled
Order was cancelled as out of stock, so I placed another order, which was shipped…
Kmart really need to improve their systems. If they send the order to one store and that store is out of stock, they should send the order to a different store that still has stock instead of just cancelling the order and making you re-order.
Thanks! Got one as well.
…. and $35 is now the regular price for it.
Got a set in store at Sunnybank last one on the shelf 😅
This is going up my nose immediately.
