For a second I thought Lego had finally released the Interstellar Ranger.

Imo price per piece is misleading due to the number of smaller pieces included modern Lego sets. Price per gram would be more accurate.

    • Good point! Is there?

      • +2

Most reviews include a price per gram but unaware of a database.

        • Most listings include the weight, so the data is already there; just a matter of calculating it on the fly (ORDER BY PRICE / WEIGHT).

And this could be applied to many things, especially books and even cookware (to compare frypans, for instance).

          • @wisdomtooth: Which ones? The ones I've checked only have boxed weight, not part weight.

            • @quill: Close enough?

              • @wisdomtooth: If by close you mean 60% of boxed weight

                • @quill: Even if it gets to that much, as long as it is consistent across sets, it doesn't change the unit price ranking.

    • well price per piece has been around for many many years so is relevant to those that know

I updated the link to the deal post to force Amazon to show you the Amazon AU listing, so you should now be able to see the $18 listing. However, if you add that listing to your cart and go to the checkout, you should get an error message saying the product cannot be delivered to your specified delivery address.

(If you do not know the reason this would be happening to you, read this comment.)

      • Oh I remembered reading your comment before OP. Yeah that might be true, kinda sucked that Amazon refused to deliver to certain locations…

      • i get the delivery issue in sydney for some things
        no idea why

        • It is probably the hazardous materials restriction I talked about in the comment I linked to above. For example, the Amazon webpage says that postcode 2230 (covering suburbs including Cronulla, Bundeena and Woolooware) is ineligible for delivery of hazardous materials.

          • @WookieMonster: NAh our postcode is on the list for delivery

Its random stuff , been a while since ive seen it

Usually i just dont bother buying it then

Good set, you can buy two and build some bigger alt ships.

By itself it's a pretty decent value set with all printed pieces. Can't even say that about a lot of other more expensive sets.

  • Theres a warning on the Amazon listing about it having a small coin battery. I dont believe this actually has one and looks to be a mistake.

    • Yep, there's no battery in this one.

    • The mechanism that "powers" it looks like a futuristic battery

      • Kids insert a toy battery pack to activate the spaceship’s fold-out main thrusters and convert the drone bot into a jetpack (batteries not required)

  • When I try to purchase it says they can't deliver to my address, which I use all the time. It's a standard residential address. Why?

This set is sick I've bought it several times for the children, it has a few functions and is eminently swishable. Bring back space Lego ftw

If this is just an interstellar craft then why does it have wings?

    • For when it's dogfighting with enemy fighters

Looks like the SR-72 Darkstar Maverick flew. I guess the Skunkworks are even taunting kids these days about their secretive black project aircraft hidden behind "need to know"

Buy 2 and scuttle one for weapon parts
