Not sure if mentioned before, if you open up your Apple TV Plus app on your Samsung TV, if your TV is eligible you will see the option to get 3 months free.
Mine is 2022 Samsung The Frame, I am still eligible, my previous free trial expired yesterday, I have no problem to re-subscribed to it again.
No harm to try if you don't have an active Apple TV Plus subscription.
You go to try and tell me later, should work because you can scan the QR code to activate on your phone and no need to put your password in on the TV.

Did you use the Apple TV Plus app on the TV from your last free trial? I use Google Chromecast TV and never sign in with the Samsung Apple TV Plus app before. Wondering after 3 months can I still re-subscribe free trial from the TV again if offer still available.

Youtube mostly should auto detect or you can change it in the settings of that video, other streaming service should also auto detect, whether you have HDR or Dolby Vision, what surround you have, etc.
