XFX Radeon RX 7600 Speedster SWFT 210 + PC Version Resident Evil 4 Remake $399 + Shipping @ PLE

190

Basic 2 fan version of the very new AMD GPU.

https://www.techpowerup.com/309192/xfx-unveils-radeon-rx-760…

The 7600 seems to have had a small price cut already in the US ahead of the Nvidia 4060 launch and this is around that new low price.

XFX seems to be a niche brand in Australia available from relatively few retailers but they are very well priced here and pretty big in other parts of the world. I already own an AMD XFX GPU and it's going fine.

The kicker is that this GPU is the cheapest current Gen GPU eligible for a copy of the Resident Evil 4 remake that currently retails for $85 on Steam. I'm sure it will be available from somewhere else for less but it's still a well reviewed relatively pricey game for the moment that adds a lot of value for some people.

There are rumours that GPUs purchased via Ebay are not eligible for the free game so this non- Ebay purchase seems to be one of the best ways of getting it for sure. I'm not saying this is the deal of the century but if it's tempting me to buy it (who definitely does not need it) then it must be a decent deal.

  • This or RTX 3060 12gb?

At 1080p, I'd go this. Some games are pushing that 8gb VRAM but the performance of this is much better. Anything higher than 1080p, I'd probably start looking at a higher tier card . The 3060 could go with more power and this could use more VRAM before being really that viable at higher res.

Oh no, you're not tricking me into making a general statement about PC components this time.
Fool me 18 times, shame on you. Fool me 19 or more times, shame on me.

Fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again.

Neither, get yourself a used 5700 XT or RX 6700 if you want the best bang for buck

If only second hand was less than this price.
Mind you, haven't looked on facebook marketplace or Scumtree

Idk how it is throughout the rest of the country but Adelaide's fb and gumtree sellers have delusions to their cards worth, its crazy.

"There are rumours that GPUs purchased via Ebay are not eligible for the free game" - I can personally confirm that two GPUs from the recent eBay deals from Computer Alliance came with codes to redeem RE4 printed on each tax invoice

  • How much would you get if selling RE4?

    • +1

A decent amount I would think. $40 at least? Not 100% sure you can sell it easily though. Read the comments I linked to in the original post.

Also check out this video for why it's an in demand game!

      • where's the best place to sell codes/games like this?

  • F. Upgrade or nah !@#$%^*() 😤
    I’m currently on 1060 3GB.
The FREE Uber delivery before EOFY is so tempting! 😡

On Steam this game is $85.49, making this card technically $313.51.

Not easy to sell code because to code activation must be done from PC with hardware fitted inside. Maybe to friends/family.

    • It only needs the app to validate the AMD rewards code, you then get a normal steam code (I went through the process yesterday morning)
